Seems like Booker / Pete / Harris / and Sanders are having good nights. Castro too.
Biden usually always sucks in these, but he's doing alright.
I've liked some of Tulsi's answers, but going the regime change war route on the 1 question was stupid.
I always like Klobuchar and what she says, but she's got no chance. Maybe she'd be a good vice president.
I like Castro. Don't like Warren, but largely due to her mannerisms and over the top BS at times.
I wouldn't hate a Biden/Pete ticket, but it'll never happen.

I have said a few times that Biden/Pete would be the best combo of this lot.

Biden talks WAY too much about how he's the only 1 to ever do anything...I'm not saying it isn't true, but it's being overplayed. Who gives a fuck what you've done in the past, we're electing someone to do something now and in the future.
And he always makes himself look stupid when he tries to go at Warren.

I agree if it's flipped. Pete can campaign without stumbling constantly. But he would need an experienced VP, just like Obama needed one. Might as well take the same one.
Yes, I know the chances of that are 0.
BTW, Pete was fantastic tonight. I think he's going to surprise people in Iowa when the second round of voting forces people who like obscure candidates to vote for someone other than their first choice.

Pete could get the experience of being VP.
He is young, and after learning the game could be a great President down the road

True. And all the top 3 front runners are over 70 so he may be needed in 4 years or sooner.

I'll let you guys and girls in on a little secret. The person many powerful Dem supporters want to be the V.P. running mate wasn't on the stage last night. Stay tuned.

Who gives a fuck what Biden's done in the past? My guess is a lot more people than you think after we have had a President who hadn't done shit in the past - and we are learning the hard way that's not as beneficial as he and his voters played it off as being.
If you don't understand how a person's past has a bearing on what they will do in the present and future - then you don't really understand life.
Most of the time people choose to "hire" someone based on their past experiences. Right?

Yeah, who gives a fuck about proving that you have actually gotten things done. Give us more hollow promises!
Results matter to some people, especially the age demographic that Biden is targeting.

Well, then he better be willing to embrace the questionable things he's gotten done in his past too...because there's plenty of that too.
My point was he acts like nobody else has done anything meaningful since they have never been vice president and/or haven't been in public office for 40+ years. And he loves to take some personal credit for shit Obama got done, and claim it as his since he played a role, which is fine, but gets old.
Most people on that stage have accomplished meaningful things on various levels, obviously.
It's not that he says he's gotten stuff done that bothers me. It's HOW he says it, and HOW he uses it to diminish others legitimacy.
He also looked like a douche bag when he raised his voice / pointed / and was condescending towards Warren (who I don't even like).
No thanks on Biden if it's my choice. I'd prefer Pete or Klobuchar over him (although Klobuchar unfortunately doesn't have a chance this time around). He's not awful, certainly not as bad as Trump, but he is cringe worthy way too often.

Warren reaped the fruits of her status at/near the top of the heap, as the 2%ers et al went at her all night. While she acquitted herself fairly well, to not look at or thank/acknowledge Biden after he talked about marshaling votes in the senate for her CFPB bill was a bad look. And, she really dropped the ball when she wasn't willing/able to answer the questions about how she plans to pay for her "Medicare for All" proposal. Seriously? I loved when Klobuchar said: "The difference between a plan and a pipe dream is something you can actually get done. And we can get this public option done.". Exactly. Warren needs to realize that if a "public option"/Medicare for All is such a great idea, why not prove that incrementally, and not risk freaking the electorate out by suddenly ending the employer based health care insurance that 50% of Americans currently rely on? Does anyone think that republicans won't drive that talking point into the head of 95% of American households over the next year? I know I would. (Of course it goes without saying that for a public option/Medicare for All program to work, it's going to require a huge buy-in, i.e. bodies and $, or you can forget it.)
Pete looked good in general, and especially taking Beto to task for asking for purity pledges for his gun confiscation idiocy. Voluntary buy back? Sure. Confiscation? I'll have what you're smoking. Pete's still in the game, and is going to put more and more pressure on Biden for the "moderate" democratic vote.
Poor Biden. I hate to see him go out like this. He probably had his best debate ever, but... Although it's probably already too late, for Biden to miss yet another opportunity to make this primary all about him and Trump as a way to marginalize his primary opponents and emphasize his "electability", is political malpractice. We get that you don't want to take your message into the Trump family swamp by pointing out their hypocrisy vis-a-vis your son Hunter, but if you're not able to at least dip a toe, you are 100% not the right candidate to oppose Donald Trump.
Klobuchar did well, but can she out Pete Pete, competing for Biden's voters who are more comfortable with incremental change? She's getting better at this, it appears. But she's so far behind and doesn't appear to have much "it".
Bernie looked good so soon after his MI, and he can take credit for much of what's being discussed. He was already fading somewhat, and this heart attack is his political death knell.

Rick Wilson had a great ad script for Democrats to beat up on Trump.
ISIS was defeated.
Until Donald Trump set them free.
He caved to foreign powers to protect his bottom line.
Left our allies to be slaughtered
Ordered American troops to cut and run.
Our soldiers call it an act of betrayal
Trump calls it winning.
And ISIS agrees.
Of course, Democrats can't be bothered with that, they're too busy telling 150 million Americans that they're going to take away their private health insurance.

O'Reilly decided to live-tweet the debate, and got his ass handed to him. Gotta give this round to Beto, who replied to O'Reilly after the debate.
