ought to be one for the ages
brothers and i decided to go if we can find tix for the right price
I'd guess you'll be able to do ok on tickets if that forecast holds.
I would LOVE to go, but with KU @ UK the following weekend, I can't see dropping that kind of cash.

maybe...tix go on sale at noon, but thoughts are that there won’t be anything under $300 (up until game day)
we all agreed on $200, even for nosebleed
with that forecast though, i’m having reservations. tough to pass up such an historic event

I know. And of course it's never the things you DO that you regret most.

Man good luck. I don't know what your right price is. But I imagine the cheapest ticket will be $250+. I don't think it matters how cold it will be, as long as it is dry, there won't be an empty seat in the place.

I'll give the same advice I gave on the Basketball board:
My other recommendation would be to shop around the various sites that all run on the same back end (Ticket Liquidator, Select-a-Ticket, Vivid Seats, on and on and one), and consider three things:
1. If you are a Southwest Airlines guy, you can get 2x-7x points by going through Rapid Rewards Shopping. Not a big deal if you're buying a can opener or something, but dropping several hundred bones on tickets means the multiple gets meaningful.
2. All those sites with the same back end ask you to put an email address in - get past that stage without buying tickets and close the window. Oftentimes, you'll get an email giving you a short-term coupon code for a decent chunk off.
3. Download a browser extension like Honey or WikiBuy and it will try a bunch of other coupon codes for you. Never know what you might find.
It's hard to do those second and third ones with #1, because the Rapid Rewards browser extension is supposed to be rendered ineffective if you use a coupon code not found on SWA's portal, but I've found that with enough trial and error (and a second browser window if necessary) you can in fact use codes and get points.
Source: I just did this this morning for my @UK tickets, which I got 3x points for (Ticket Liquidator) and also used a 15% code they sent me after closing a window. I do this dumb little dance for all high-dollar tickets I buy.

Interesting of note (if you believe in the metrics, etc) : According to DVOA, the Pats defense is #1 at home. On the road they are 31st.
Also, just saw this factoid..
Patriots haven't won a road playoff game since January 2007 at the SD Chargers in AFC Championship game. Wow

I'll watch from my nice, warm family room. So long as there isn't a Jayhawk game on.

Probably not a lot of opportunity.

While that's an interesting stat, they are almost always the #1 or #2 seed, so they never play on the road.

In the Brady / Belicheck era they have played seven road games for a record of 3-7. That includes three losses to the Broncos and one to the Colts.

So, unless they're playing Peyton Manning, they're a good playoff road team, too.

Err, Mahomes is great, but I can't say he's better than Peyton Manning at this point.
( better than Peyton when he won the Super Bowl with no arm and a fused spine certainly but that Denver defense was better than any defense in the NFL this year )

In 2014 Peyton Manning threw for 400 yards, 2 TD's, 0 INT's, completing 32 passes in the AFC Championship to top Brady and company.

I'm mainly joking.
Mahomes is great at freestyling on plays. Peyton was really good at preparation and getting players in the best position to succeed. Mahomes just wings it. And I think it makes him really dangerous to play against.

I...don't think this is remotely accurate.

I don't mean doing whatever. But that he can make something out of nothing. When the pocket breaks down, or he scrambles to either direction, he can still make a play deep down the field.

I guess my point is that Manning, Brady and many others couldn't do much outside of pocket and when the play broke down.
Some of Mahomes' best throws this year have been when the play has broken down and he's doing something outside of the play call.
