I've been a 49ers fan "forever". I was 10 rows up in the end zone, "The Catch", Montana to Clark, 1981, happened right in front of me. Watched them in Kezar, the 'stick, and their new home down the peninsula. Hight hope for them V the Eagles, but I fear their third string rookie QB - Mr. Irreverent - will not be up for the pressure, limelight, and such a quality opponent. He gets spooked. Eagles by at least 10

I thought Purdy played the Cowboys not to lose - and less so to win. In other words, I feel he tried harder not to lose the game than he tried to win it. Probably by design. Conservative.
I don't know what the 49ers game plan will be and my guess is of course they don't want him making mistakes but I feel he has to play with more confidence and trust himself and his receivers more than he did against the Cowboys. I'm not too sure he can/will be successful doing that. We shall see.
Related side note. The Kittle catch MAY have been the most important catch of Purdy's career. That pass could have been intercepted and that could have been the end of Purdy and the 49ers. Instead I feel that pass and catch made Purdy and the 49ers truly believe it was their day/game and they weren't going to lose.

NFL awards finalists revealed.

Mine:

MVP Mahomes
OPOY Jefferson
DPOY Bosa
Comeback POY Geno
COY Pederson ( this one is super close - Shanahan is a great choice too )
OROY Kenneth Walker

Good list. I think Shananan for COY. Went from Lance to Garrapolo to a 7th round rookie and they're the hottest team in football.

All 3 candidates are great.
You could also make an argument for Sirianni or Reid.
For me, Pederson took a team in complete disarray, with a coach who was over his head, from 3 wins and last place in their division, to 1st place in their division, a playoff win and 7 points away from a AFC title appearance.

My guess (maybe hope?) is 3-14 Ebeflus was told by his superiors to be competitive but to "tank". If so, he deserves at least an A- for doing just that.

My votes....
POTY - Mahomes
OPOTY - Jefferson
DPOTY - Parsons
OROTY - No clue
DROTY - Sauce (only because of his name)
CPOTY - Saq Bark
COTY - Daboll/Pederson tie

I hear ya, but they also played in the worst division in football by a country mile. The NFC West wasn't much better, but their record was incredible. The Jags finished just barely over .500.

Also, I'm pretty sure all the votes are cast before the regular season ends so you can't take into effect the playoff win for this purpose.

For me, the 9ers had that good a squad last season but were riddled with injuries.
They improved 3 games.
The Jags improved 6.

Also I think all awards in all sports should be cast after the post season.

With as bad as the Bears defense was by the end of the year, I don't think he had to put much effort into tanking.

I am being 100% serious when I say there should be legal repercussions (ultimately financial - because that's what hurts people) when people post stupid shit like this on "social media".
For those of you who may not understand - That's not Hamlin nor does it even look like Hamlin - other than it's a Black Male.

Have to challenge that 4th Down catch. Stupid mistake Frisco. They will be chasing points now

I was so confused why they just continued on, especially after the WR got up freaking out to run a quick play.

Halfway through the 1st Quarter and the refs are proving they are clueless. Two blatant mistakes.

Didn’t get the -2.5 bet in on time.

Have to settle for a tougher line now, but was glad SF tied it up. Eagles cover.

Philly is not very impressive today despite their advantage.
