Excited to have these guys as Jayhawks! Here's hoping for a dominant 24/25 season.

It seems better than last year (on paper), doesn't it? Of course, one of the big transfers is another 'mid-major' sendoff, and unless KJ and DH have learned how to play offense efficiently, who knows what's going to transpire.
Hopefully the football team is good again, and we won't even think much about basketball until January or so.

Zeke did get a look at the NBA. Mid-major but a legit talent.

I wonder specifically what role/position Self would like "one more."
says Zach and Elmarko are good enough to play a lotta minutes, but kinda does so in a way that makes it hard to tell whether he means they're good enough to be starters or just good enough to not be buried on the bench.
He kinda alludes to looking for a Tyrel/Face Ass/Relefort/KY sort of role player. But also kinda alludes to replacing Furphy's shooting.
And the way he says yea we'd consider international guys but it's tricky cuz they're pros who gotta get out of contracts I MEAN they're amateurs who are playing in pro leagues that wanna keep them around.
I also kinda like the OG Jayhawk pattern polo

The answer to the question about leaders - just so brilliant from a he-should-be-a-politician point of view. Deferred leadership to the returning upperclassmen, and expressed he's willing and capable of leading as needed. Modest yet confident. Or smart enough to come across that way.
I like him.

I'm hoping Passmore or McDowell will be a pleasant surprise and contribute meaningful minutes. It does happen occasionally. I guess I'm just an old softie who pulls for these kids.

Elmarko and McDowell staying even though their path to playing time is unclear has made me like both of them significantly more.
