While it was a tough call, I don't feel they got screwed. It was 100% the right call if you go by the rule. He not so clearly ran outside the running lane lines and it interfered with the fielder. Tough call in that situation but a rule is a rule. Some may feel it's subject to interpretation but by definition he broke the rule.

Rewarded a bad throw. Period. And there was zero attempt to throw out the runner going home, so that run should have scored. Baseball has some dumb rules. It was literally inches inside the line.

Love that the Padres are just all in.

Got Hader from Milwaukee.
Got Soto and Josh Bell from Washington.

Didn't give up a ton of their top guys either.

They also just ate the rest of Hosmer's inflated contract. Good for them and a strong tweet here:

R.I.P. Vin
One of my fondest baseball memories was being in Dodger Stadium and going to get a burger. They were playing the live broadcast of Vin Scully in the concession area that I was in. Instead of grabbing my burger and going back to my seat, I stood there and listened to him broadcast for about an entire inning.
I really enjoyed it.
Realize, I grew up listening to Jack Brickhouse (legend) and Harry Caray (legend) but to me during my younger years, Vin was THEE Baseball announcing God.

I grew up in Los Angeles, and was a huge Dodger fan.

Using words to appreciate Vin seems like flapping my arms at an eagle to express admiration: inadequate, silly and entirely beside the point. If you miss him, you're lucky; the unfortunate ones are the ones who missed out.

To do that for 70 years and from how I understood it, conversed like he was sitting beside you in the living room. A true legend.

LOL with Chris Sale.
Out for the season after a bike crash. This is after he busted his hand in his second game back. And after Tommy John. And after an elbow tear.

Either bad luck or a moran or both.

The kid got hit in the head. Is there a good reason why he stayed in the game?

Lenny was one of my favorite players. Actually felt bad for him after learning about his post MLB struggles. Now he's just a lost cause. Looks like he spent several consecutive hours tweeting, re-tweeting, and responding last night.

He and Rex Chapman have been going at it on Twitter for the past couple of weeks.

About 10 days ago Lenny came up with this gem - and Rex's response.

Lenny Dykstra accusing someone of being a piece of shit:

Car crash while drunk
Indecent Exposure Charge
Sexual battery of a 17 year old
Indecent Exposure
Sexual Assault
Grand Theft Auto
Bankruptcy Fraud
Threatening the life of an Uber Driver
Possession of cocaine, ecstasy and synthetic HGH
Jewelry theft
Trashed a hotel room and stole contents

But yeah, go on about how someone else is a piece of shit because they did their job legally.

Fully admit I haven't been following baseball much but it seems David Ross and Mike Matheny have done a heck of a job since the All-Star break. Yes? No?
