kentucky for sure.
This is why they aren't a rival in the same sense as Mizzou.
for me it has nothing to do with rivalry. and has everything to do with winning conference championships. losing to kentucky means zero towards winning the BIG 12.

@Texas.
Because if we win the rest of those we'll probably win the conference anyway. And it gives us another game toward the all time wins. Plus beating another blue blood is meaningful.

Think the ISU game would be a better game to drop. ISU is 2-5 while UT is 4-3

That was my thought, but wasn't sure how bad UT's record was. Dropping a road game in the Big 12 is normal stuff. Most important thing right now anyway is getting the rotations figured out.

Agreed.
If you're a realistic fan you have to factor in at least 3 conference losses every season.
@OSU
@ISU
Those two should be at the top of your list every season and we've already won the @OSU game. Sort of like playing with house money a little bit.

I'll take being up 2 games on both threats to win the Big 12 with 8 games left rather than bragging rights for a non con game.
Give us room for error.

I don't mean this to sound like a wet blanket....but i do not care about a regular season big 12 title right now. We need another national championship. 1 in the last 35 years does not accurately reflect how good we have been.

It’s really about the company you keep.
I’d rather be in the company of Duke, UNC, Kentucky than ISU, KSU and OSU
Similar to how I don’t want to be in the company of illy, MICH, JK and Lobby

We've won one B12 title in 3 years.
I care.
We can win the B12 title and the National Championship.
A non con game v Kentucky doesn't have anything to do with either of those really.

Sure. All true. I just mean a big 12 title absent of a natty doesn't move the needle for me any more now that the streak has ended.

So you'd rather not win the B12 if you can't have a national title?
Wut?

KU wins the Big 12, maybe the toughest conference in America.
Needle not moved at all.
Needle only moves if KU wins 6 games in a single elimination tournament.
That's a shitty needle.

With Texas and Oklahoma leaving, winning the Big 12 is going to be claiming "King of Rednecks & Religious Nutjobs"

Houston is 4th in Kenpom.
BYU is 25th.
Texas is 17th in Kenpom.
Oklahoma 36th.
