Fully admit I haven't been following baseball much but it seems David Ross and Mike Matheny have done a heck of a job since the All-Star break. Yes? No?
Matheny should have been fired last year. His strength is ruining careers right now.

Another reason why I say kids playing in the LLWS are often as smart and fundamentally sound as those who play MLB.

Am I wrong to say that that's just as much if not more of the third base coach's fault than the kid's?

It's 100% the 3rd base coaches fault.
I coached a youth team this summer and the first thing I told them when practicing base running was when you steal a base or get to a base other than first, put up your hands and ask the umpire for time. For that exact reason.

Bonds has the home run record. Get the Yankees vomiting of the records out of here.

To me, Bonds has the home record, but there's an asterisk after it.
So if someone wants to argue that Judge has the clean home run record, they make a good case.

This.
Qualify Judge's record as the AL record, fine, that's factually true.

First MLB I’ve watched in months and I turn on Phillies @ Cards top of the 9th.
Cards up 2-0.
Phillies score 6 in the inning.
Cards loose.
Baseball is worth watching every once in a while.

On top of this, the Mariners are actually in the playoffs ( this entry thing I dunno if I’ll consider the playoffs ).

Early on baseball folks talked about Seattle's playoff drought. Got to feel like they are the 2014 Royals this year.

Worthless predictions.....
Yankees beat the Guardians 3-1
Astros beat the Mariners 3-2
Phillies beat the Braves 3-2
Dodgers beat the Padres 3-2
Yankees beat the Astros 4-2
Dodgers beat the Phillies 4-2
Yankees beat the Dodgers 4-3

Has the AL MVP ever gone hitless in a DS?
Now watch, because I asked that Judge will probably bat .500 with a few HR the rest of the series.

Would every reliever in this Houston at Seattle ALDS Game 3 be the best relief pitcher on the Royals? Yeesh.

There was a team in 2014-15 that valued closers.

I miss when KC had an elite relief pitching staff. I'd settle for competent at this point. That was a heck of a display of pitching in that game last night.

Dodgers out.
Get the Astros and Yankees out and this is a successful MLB playoff.

2 down 1 to go. Unfortunately I think the 1 to go isn't going to go.
