I know people who are 3 years old (my nephew's daughter) and 88 years old (my mother) who own albums. What does age have to do with anything?

A lot of these albums are being pressed in Salina KS. An odd little business called Acoustic Sounds out there is one of the largest pressing operations in the US. My daughter and I got a tour of the place several years back. She and a lot of other 20 somethings buy vinyl albums for the most part these days. Your old turntable in the basement might be worth big bucks these days.

My gf has been playing Christmas music all day. I’m about to stab my neighbors inflatable Santa. I think I’ve heard Last Christmas by Wham at least 5 times in the last 2 hours. Forgive me for what I’m about to do…

It’s tolerable. What is not, is the Jackson 5, “I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus”. Or the stupid Hippopotamus song.

Last Christmas is terrible.

The hippopotamus song is an absolute delight.

I can’t stand the hippo song or Michael Jackson’s squeaky 8 year old voice… just horrible. Now, George Michael, great voice, but kind of a cheesy song, but catchy. Now give me Bing Crosby and Bowie, “Peace on Earth”…,fvcking classic.

Could be worse. Last year Mrs 99 dragged me to a movie called Last Christmas starring the crazy dragon chick from GOT.

What do the Christmas songs “The Christmas Song/Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”, “Silver Bells”, “White Christmas”, “Let it Snow”, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and “(Walkin’ In a) Winter Wonderland” have in common?

They suck and by the time Christmas comes they eat through your soul every time you hear any of them and you can't wait for movie/Chinese-food day to get here so you don't have to hear them for the next 10 months.

Did I get it right?
