those were among the red flags of candidate Trump, yet instead of it killing his chances like it would for any other candidate, it seemed to be just the push he needed.
Exactly!

The voters who voted for Obama twice and then voted for Trump are bigots!
Awkward deflection there but hey, you try. We knew who was all in on courting the bigot vote when Stephen Miller climbed on board.
Just because you know and care who Miller is doesn't mean that most voters do. Miller, like his friend Bannon, is personally repulsive. But that doesn't mean that voters share their beliefs. To insist on bigotry being the explanation is lazy and self-serving -- and to repeat myself, one of the reasons why Trump won in the first place. "Agree with us or you're racist!" is a fantastic strategy for getting people not to agree with you.

No voters needed to know who Miller was when the trumpublican pitch to voters was, "what a coincidence, hey we are racists too!". Electrifying for those who thought you were just about lower taxes and freedom to pollute.

Just in case we lose sight of the fact that Sondland took his sweet time arriving at the truth.

I'll be honest. I expected better from you.

The Reuters story I posted above is part of the same story. I've only seen the # and Hunter Biden mentioned in the interfax story and a Zerohedge version of it -- so nothing reliable.

So... Does this kill the point from today that the investigations never happened?

Thankfully, both Zelensky and Trump confirmed there was no pressure, so by definition this investigation is totally legit.

Is there any more compelling statement than that of a hostage with a gun to his head yelling, "please, do what ever he wants"?

It's certainly different when Trump does it.

If Trump's kid got 16 million in embezzled money, I'd expect -- demand -- an investigation.

Did you read the article? Sketchy as it is, it claims that 16 is split between 4 people and Hunter received less than a million. Not that it really matters. There is no evidence of anything at all in the article.

The obsession with this Hunter Biden stuff is weird. It's nepotism and a case of a foreign company trying to get good standing with America. Joe should never have allowed him to take that job. It has nothing to do with our current President illegally holding back congressionally appropriated aid in return for investigating it.

Virtually every company larger than a mom and pop shop in that region of the world is doing some sort of shady business. It is part of the Russian culture to lie, cheat and steal.
