I really don't have a problem with Tang going in to the FAU locker room.
I do have a problem with some in the media for blowing him for doing it. He's hardly the first guy to do it. Tang seems like a good guy and he AND HIS PLAYERS had a great season. He deserves praise but not at the expenses of his players getting neglected by some/many in the process.
I was not much a fan of him saying "heads up - that's what we do" to his players when they headed to their locker room after the loss. I feel some of those players had every right to be dejected with their heads down - at that moment.
This was what he said in the post game presser -
"And winners keep their heads up. They don't drop their heads. So our guys were not going to walk off the floor with their heads down".
Well, some of them did walk off the floor with their heads down.
They weren't winners - of the game. They were losers. SOME losers when they lost a chance to get to the Final Four and played in their last college game keep their heads down. I don't have a problem with that - if they care and are upset. Why would anyone?

You're "glad" we lost to Arkansas? Why?
I would have preferred to have won a National Championship than lose to Arkansas.
If we lost to UConn (or Gonzaga) why would that have been worse than losing to Arkansas?

I sparred you the part where my mother's father sold his 5 y/o daughter, my mother's younger sister, to a couple in Oklahoma whose young daughter had died almost a year earlier.
That's right... He monitored the obituaries, saw the grieving parents as a vulnerable target, waited, and then sold his own daughter to them. #notkidding
For about 4-5 months, my mother's mother had no idea where or what had happened to her child.
holy camolie, Feral, that's bananas.

Ugh.
Sportsmanship is shaking hands with all the players and coaches. It’s giving credit to the team that beat you at the presser. Hell, it’s even contacting the coach the next day and wishing him the best.
What Tang did is making it about him. This is their moment. This is their coaches moment. It’s not yours dude.
I kinda liked Tang but he’s become too much.
I agree 100%. It was FAU’s moment, their night. Stay in your lane.

Yea, I guess I spoke too soon. I turned it on mid 2nd half and there was a good stretch of just good hard basketball, without whistles every possession, and without knowing the foul count.
Nowell is good tho. It’s fun to watch a guard who can shoot, get to the rim, draw fouls
He’s really not. His selfish style works to a degree but will lose eventually. He’s also the kind of guy you’d hate playing with. Nearly Every possession was him dribbling and chucking. Just because some miraculously went in doesn’t change my mind.
Go figure he gave up the last shot.
If instead of picking up the dribble he’d have just chucked it, I was expecting it to go in.
And you’re take is prob better in the big picture, but dood just put up 30 and 12 in the elite 8
KU lost most of the games where Jalen went off, too. Nowell can at times be so wrapped up in doing it himself that his teammates start standing around. KSU was mostly outline by Johnson's foul trouble. When you are a 2 man team, it's hard when one of them disappears.
KSU has now lost 8 straight Elite Eight games, the longest such streak in the ncaa right now.

Sportsmanship is great and all but something about that seems lame to me.
It's the same level of corny, contrived culture as Scott Drew. You can tell he came from the Drew coaching tree.

I would rather get blown out in the Sweet Sixteen than lose by 1 in the Round of 32 nearly every time. There are a few Sweet Sixteen opponent exceptions to that rule but UConn isn't one of them.

I have Baylor friends who are worried that Drew came from the tang coaching tree.
They want Drew to take a better job so can hire Tang back.

Feels like Rock Chalk Blog and doyel are basically the same people.
You can’t just say “spare me the overall wins NCAA stat.”
Well, you can, but then you minimize every other program in D1 that plays basketball for that time period.
How many D1 programs have been to the title game twice in the last ten years? Not KU anymore.
Zags have been a top 10 program in the last 10 years.

There was a turn-around from the standing zone and chuck prayers with Tang.

I would be very happy if KU had a player like Ryan Kalkbrenner in the middle.
