Thank goodness they dropped the part about making it illegal to charge baggage fees. I got really annoyed when I heard about this. They kept the minimum legspace rule though unfortunately.
I hate these kinds of regulations. They aren't protecting anyone's safety. Just let the free market handle it.

Re: Flight regulations
I have mixed opinions; I travel light (really only check bags if bringing special items like golf clubs or guns), so I don't want to subsidize people who can't pack efficiently (noting, also, that inefficient/excessive packing costs time and fuel).
That said, massive consolidation in the airline industry means that "the free market" handling it is already a bit rigged.

I'd rather drive than fly in just about any scenario.

My wife and 2 kids had an emergency landing trying to leave Punta Gorda. Got about 5min into the flight and had to make an emergency landing.....thankfully they ended up getting home safely, but after that I decided there would be no more of my kids flying Allegiant.jfish26 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 12:02 pm The equipment hasn't been getting any younger, ya know?

Re: Flight regulations
That (safety) is the kind of thing that should be regulated.
Not things that just annoy people, like baggage fees and leg room.
The latter one is easier to sell to today's voters though. Democracy... Ugh.
