Not a great personality, but he gets stuff done. That’s good enough for most people.Gutter's Mother wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 8:36 pm I was watching Trump speak in Hickippippi tonight.
Being that this is a public site that can be moderated, I am going to refrain from expressing my thoughts - other than to say anyone who actually likes the man for his personality is a person I wish was no longer on the face of the Earth.
That's sad that it doesn't matter to you what comes along with getting a few of the things you want done.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 6:51 amNot a great personality, but he gets stuff done. Meh. I have been on this earth for a decent number of years now, and I have yet to meet a perfect man or woman. Life involves compromises whether we like it or not.twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 7:18 amThat's sad that it doesn't matter to you what comes along with getting a few of the things you want done.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 6:51 amNot a great personality, but he gets stuff done. It probably isn't. But sensationalism draws views, and journalism has pretty much become glorified prostitution.
The price we're paying for those things is far more than a few "rough edges and caustic tweets". Economic prosperity has come with a price tag of major environmental roll backs which will result in the deaths of additional American citizens as well as massive cuts top to bottom that will be needed to fund the tax breaks.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:28 amMeh. Trump's rough edges and caustic tweets are a small price to pay for economic prosperity, restored global sovereignty, control of our borders and reduced burden from illegal immigration, and a conservative majority in the Supreme Court. I recognize that I am not everybody, but, for me, it is an acceptable tradeoff.
I understand that that is your perspective. I disagree re: the impact of environmental rollbacks and continue to believe that government is bloated and in need of massive cuts at all levels.twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 9:21 amThe price we're paying for those things is far more than a few "rough edges and caustic tweets".
