That’d be rad.

Though Julian was more of a tweener. Pretty sure Dedrick projects as more of a true power forward.

Plus Julian was a spaz. Hopefully Dedrick is more polished and consistent.

As stacked as we are with bigs, we might see some high/low.

Loved watching Jackson/Arthur/Kaun/Aldrich eating defenses for lunch back in the day

If Julian actually loved basketball, imagine what could have been.

too bad he didn’t have the discipline to practice fundamentals, instead of spending his time on trick shots and getting into religious fights on Twitter...

Just because somebody is blessed with a certain ability doesn't mean they should be obligated to pursue it.

well sure, but when you’ve been blessed with a certain ability and you’re trying to make a professional career out of that ability, then it’s in your best interests to pursue it.

Oh absolutely. I wasn't trying to imply that.

The Top 10 2018-19 Preseason Candidates for National Player of the Year
4. Dedric Lawson, Kansas

The Basics: 6’9”, 235 pounds, power forward, redshirt junior
2016-17 stats (at Memphis): 19.2 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 2.1 bpg

A transfer hasn’t won player of the year since Larry Johnson in 1991. Lawson is a legitimate threat to change that. The former Memphis star will get to showcase his incredible array of skills on a national scale as the best player on what should be an outstanding Kansas team. He’s a dominant scorer and rebounder on the interior, but also has guard-like handles and the ability to hit mid-range shots, something he’ll get plenty of opportunities to do with Udoka Azubuike clogging the paint. Lawson has reportedly been working on his three-point shot; if he can improve on his career mark of 30% from deep, the sky is the limit. Expect Lawson, who Bill Self has called “the best passer we’ve ever had here,” to be the focal point of the Jayhawk offense right away. The concern with Lawson is his lack of elite athleticism, which is harder to overcome against frontcourts in the Big 12 than in the AAC.

That 1 dump off that KJ completed that we didn't convert was so nice.

I think we might see some good chemistry between the lawsons now that they're going to play significant minutes together. Should be interesting to watch them evolve. Will also be interesting to see when announcers realize which Lawson is actually the older brother.

Agreed.

Although that 1 from grimes to dedric on the fast break was pretty good too. He kind of faked low and then got it to him up high in a perfect spot for dedric to catch and finish.
