In the article I read, she said she wants to get out of public life and going back to private.
Timing is interesting with all the kavanaugh stuff "settled".

I wasn't aware of any death threats against her. I would like to see that sort of thing prosecuted. Anyone unfortunate enough to get their name in the news seemly gets them.

Haven't heard of any against her personally, but it has been happening to Senators and their families pretty regularly in the last couple of months. She might just be doing the math.

I'd guess she hits the private sector to cash in and build a war chest for her run at the GOP nomination in 2024.

She's smart enough not to tie herself that closely to Trump. She is close enough to be in favor of the Trump loonies and far enough to separate herself from Trump's stupidity. Best of both worlds.

Turned in her resignation the morning after Trump's lunatic mocking of Dr. Ford. I am sure it's just a coincidence and not a calculated political decision she will be stumping on in 4 years...
