Recalled that and also his not being able to go on the Italy trip because allegedly he was a problem in practice.
Glad he's paid his dues and is now an pre-season AA and will hopefully be very valuable asset to the 18-19 team.

My questioning why a kid who was not of legal age MAY have possibly been buying alcoholic beverages was just gutter being gutter.
Or maybe a case of Lawson being Lawson? Nah!
An even stronger example of gutter being gutter would be to ask why in the hell would he be in a bar at 1:30am possibly buying alcoholic beverages less than a month after not being allowed to join his team on a trip to Italy because he was a problem in practice?
You know, all that after the alleged incident with him and K.J. at Penny's gym.
Also not forgetting K.J.'s foray in to social media in which he felt the need to say Fuck Tubby after announcing he was going to go to KU.
All that being said, I will go ahead and assume Dedric was not buying alcohol because that would have been really dumb - and it was never mentioned that he was - but of course it's only an assumption.
I'll also go ahead and forget about their father who was more than ready (actually wanted?) for his kids to bail on Self and KU after they signed with KU.
Go ahead kids, direct your anger about my posts at me because I pointed out things the Lawson's have done, may have done, or could possibly be accused of doing but did not do.

It's possible they've moved past it and matured. It's too bad you haven't.

I'm not sure which is worse, a 20 year old being in a bar a month after not being allowed to go on a trip or a 50 year old who is still dwelling on it more than a year later.

Well, you lumped in stuff KJ had done. And stuff his dad did.

The incident at Penny's gym was a tweet from one angry guy's perspective.

The fight with Lightfoot was dealt with and unless something else happens is old news.

the bar was much ado about nothing. Not only that but Bar Louie's are mall bars...it's like calling an applebee's a bar. Not exactly the scene you're portraying it to be. I mean, if you get in trouble you aren't allowed to go out to a restaurant/bar for....how long, I know that a month was too soon for you? Should he never go to a bar again because he got in a fight?

I am/was not familiar with what type of bar Bar Louie's in Memphis is/was.
I was unaware I was portraying the bar and scene to be anything. If I did, it was not my intention.
To answer your questions, I'm not a college kid who recently transferred to KU nor is Bill Self my coach so I can't speak for them in terms of if you should be "allowed" in a bar and if not, and how long are you banned for doing as such if you got in a fight and were being "grounded".
As far as I am concerned, a month is not too soon to me for him to be in a restaurant but a month is too soon for me if he was underage buying alcohol at 1:00am. I would think it would be for Self too. My guess is Self didn't say to him, "Hey Dedric - we're cool now. Go ahead and hang out in a bar at 1:00am and buy alcohol".
Anyways, as you said, much ado about nothing because Self is/was cool with it so I should be too.
Like I said, first post was simply a question. I'll go ahead and assume it wasn't alcohol and that nothing was swept under the rug - and all is fine and dandy.

Please let's get back to the accolade/s and I apologize for the "hi-jack".
