I suppose I could have posted this on the KSU picked #2? thread but figured there will be many other non-KU NCAA BKB things to post throughout the season.
So.... I noticed last night that TCU struggled (down 9 at the half and won by 5) at home against a team that was 12-18 last season and finished 6th out of 8 teams in a horse shit conference - WAC.
TCU is predicted by many to be one of the better teams in the Big 12.
Is the Big 12 going to be shit or was last night just an early season anomaly?
Another observation. Kenpom predicted KU would have the best defense and Nevada would have the best offense this season. I fully realize one game does not make a season but.....
KU gave up 87 points and Nevada scored 86.
So far, there have been 81 teams who have scored more than 86 points. Just sayin'.
Will be interesting to see where/how KU finishes on defense and Nevada finishes on offense.
I'm guessing not #1 for either squad.

Texas in a good game with Arkansas.
I agree with Vitale though: college basketball should start just before or just after Thanksgiving.

Not a good game anymore.
Ugly.
I think Texas has hit 2 field goals in 15 minutes.

I really think Big 12 is not very good this year. It all started when I saw KSU picked 2nd. It might just be my bias but if KSU is the second best team then the Big 12 must suck. Right????

SO FAR.....
#1 KU - Is very very very good if not great.
Iowa State - Might be pretty good. Could be top 25 in the near future.
#11/12 KSU - Is probably good but can't say they are great by any means until they earn it.
Texas - Might be ok.
OSU - Is winless / and also has no losses too.
Texas Tech - Is 2-0 and beat a team by 32 last night - but that team lost by 69 to Nebraska.
#20/21 TCU - Barely beat a horse shit WAC team at home. They are probably overrated.
Oklahoma - Who knows? Beat UTRGV by 15. Is that good or bad?
Baylor - Lost at home to Texas Southern - which started out last season 0-13.
#13 WVU - Lost at home to what may end up being a pretty good Buffalo team - but still had no business losing at home to them if WVU is truly the 13th best team in the country.
So..... What conference is going to be good this season besides the ACC?

Dude....MY GOD... that was a joke on KSU
But I will be nice. The ACC is by far the best conference this year not even close. The SEC and the BIG 10 should be better than the Big 12. I think Tech will be good.

I know Okie State is supposed to be junk this season but.....
Yep, that's right. Okie State lost to Charlotte last night.
The same Charlotte that was 6-23 last season and lost their first game this season by 11 to a crap Chattanooga team.

How many hours does Gutter spend with a note pad and Google looking up shit no one else cares about?

Hours? None in succession. Minutes? Too many.
Sorry dude/s! I don't have a wife or a girlfriend I could be spending time with instead of "looking up shit no one else cares about" - or reading about it.
Yes, I spend some time looking up stats regarding Jayhawks who play in the NBA and then share them with others - and on this thread I posted some things I felt someone (someone is one or more people - other than Plano) might care about regarding college basketball.
I guess thought wrong. Please forgive me.
I'll continue to do my thing and you continue to do your's - and at the end of the day, we're all going to be just fine.
