Stay 15 more years, win 2 more national titles and be near the top of the all time win list and they should name the court after him. Naismith already has the street outside AFH named after him. I wouldn't be offended if that change was made.

At the very least, you would have to think one of the streets would get changed to Self Dr.

I agree, Allen Fieldhouse is basically impossible to change. Even harder to change the name of the floor. When it comes to honoring Self, someone will propose those other 2 don't need the names of the building and floor, as well as a street outside the building.

Unless they want to revisit the brilliant idea of building a new arena on the county line or whatever that whole rumor was about a few years back.

I'm good with a street, a statue, a building, anything really other than the court or AFH. Those are untouchable. Self has been amazing, but James Naismith court is historic and shouldn't be changed for Bill Self. Truthfully, I don't think Self would want it changed.

One of the Naismith names will go away. Whether it be Naismith Court, or Naismith Drive. One of those items will become Self something.

Easier to get the court renamed. Changing Missouri Street to Fambrough Drive for a couple of blocks is not a big deal when it's a bunch of small houses.

Lots of university buildings on Naismith Drive, most notably the B-School.

Of course, none of this really matters.
