Best bar appetizers
Where do you find the best bar appetizers, and what are those?
I looked up my favorite over many years of travel, only to find out that it’s now closed after having been open for many years. It was Growler’s Pub in St. Louis, in the southwest part of the city near the interstate loop. Never liked St. Louis, but I loved Growler’s. The had fantastic pot stickers, Scotch eggs, and chicken wings almost as big as turkey wings.

don’t think i have a favorite spot, necessarily. as long as they’re fresh, mozzarella sticks are an old stand-by
that said, there is a sushi joint in Sugarhouse/SLC called Yellowfin, which offers a stuffed jalapeño appetizer that is fantastic. i think they’re filled with a spicy crab concoction, then deep fried, halved, and drizzled with Hoisin sauce and a house-made spicy mayo sauce

Sports bar close to me has tater tots that are covered in cheese, bacon, green onions and jalapenos served with horseradish sauce. Pretty tasty for greasy bar food.

I'm a big fan of fresh made cheese curds.
But if I had to pick a favorite I'd go with wings or boneless "wings"....assuming they're fresh and not frozen chicken meat balls.

Also, not sure it's an appetizer or a novelty food, but when I was in Green Bay for a Colts vs Packers game in college they had these amazing things at a local bar....it was basically a hamburger patty and a bratwurst patty together on a pretzel roll type thing with melted cheese. So amazing.
