This was a couple of years in the making. Remember when Selfs teams used to be known as tough, defensive team?! What happened? He (Self) took coaching advice from Hoiberg. I know the game is changing, but look at a team like Villanova, heck, look at Auburn. They play tough D and still shoot the crap out of the 3 ball. They can both be done.

Some of our guys are giving zero fucks. Self doesn’t know who to turn to. But at the same time, how underprepared were we for this game?

Maybe the worst half of Selfs KU history.

The moment DOK was injured, this became a rebuilding year. Unfortunately, there are no reinforcements that are difference makers coming in next year... especially Bigs.

This "rebuild" will take longer than expected.

Hurt should/could be a difference maker especially if Lawson leaves.

The worst first half in 120 years of Kansas tournament history. I think they said the previous largest deficit at halftime was 16.

Jesus guys, what did you expect? You really thought there was a high chance we would get to the final four this year with 4 freshman starting and all that drama that happened this year? Geesh.

What we did in the first half of the season and strength of schedule.
This team is more of a 6-7.
And they played a team more suited to a 3-4.

I have no idea how they arrive at these things (obviously), but this team never seemed to gel (I know, I know, injuries, youth, sanctions) and regressed dramatically down the stretch. I suppose it's a statistical rubric for seedings, but considering the epic bed crappings these guys wheezed up at the end of the season, I certainly didn't see them as a 4. Maybe double that.

LSU doesn't have 4 freshman starting tho.
I'd also add I think we could have had a good shot beating the Turg's Terps but little chance beating Auburn.
