Kansas 9th.
13th in Adjusted O.
11th in Adjusted D.

I think the O stays around there but the D gets better ( heyo ).

I agree. I'm sure those crummy offensive numbers included the god awful Duke performance.

Defense is going to be top 5 by year's end, if I had a guess. Offense around that 8-10 mark.

If we round into Top 10 offense, then anything less than a Final Four is a major disappointment.

It's probably already that way, anyway.

from the small sample size thus far, so long as this team takes care of the ball they should have no problem reaching the FF

Absolutely no problem at all.

Defense is top notch.

Errr, absolutely no problem at all?
It's the Final Four.
It's not easy to get there.

Thank you for being someone who gets it and not just a blindly loyal fan.
If I am not mistaken, as far as KenPom goes, in 2011 we were 6 and 6 and 2010 we were 2 and 8.
We had problems getting to the Final Four in those tournaments.

I said no problem. That is a stretch looking back at it now, but I believe that KU is definitely a top 2 favorite to make Final 4.

You and Trad are right. We shouldn't have a problem making the Final Four if we are as good as we can be - and then win 4 games in the tournament.

I think people have a hard time grasping the impact of randomness and probabilities

And the impact of a team playing loose and hitting every 3 pter they throw up

probably the best team self ever had at kansas didnt make the final 4. didnt make the sweet 16. got shocked by northern iowa. so. agree and disagree. we clearly have the ability to make the final 4 but. no guarantees bud

Kansas has seen some teams that busted even outlier probabilities with shooting. UNI, VCU, UM, UO, Villanova and Auburn. It was like playing KU and its reputation for excellence amped up ball skills and they played in an incredibly loose way. It's pretty frustrating to watch a guy bank home a three-quarter court shot like Bradley did. At some point, we just have to be grateful that the rest of the world is chasing us. And the NCAA.

Just need to figure out what we're going to do with the offense. Seems one less big might also open stuff up more for Dotson, who needs to be our dog.

I mean, it's simple to the point of being reductive, but a 4-out lineup with Dotson, Och, Moss and Enaruna/Braun makes things pretty simple, offensively. The question is whether Bill would have the stomach for how things would look on the other end.

Moss's defense worried me a little last night. But, that is probably our optimal offensive lineup, with an acknowledgement that Garrett is pretty good at driving.

But, look at this quote last night, it's clear what is going to happen:

But, look at this quote last night, it's clear what is going to happen:

WARNING, BBIQ ALERT: The issue is that Garrett fucks your spacing on offense, and, accordingly, fucks the unsolvable problem that is Dotson with space to drive, surrounded by shooters.

Honestly, the whole thing works better with Garrett as a sub FOR Dotson, since you don't give up much on offense, and you get better on the other end.
