Will lengthy suspensions necessitate the need to burn his redshirt?
I wouldn’t think he’d come back under any circumstance, or any cause great enough, even considering tonight’s events.

No need. SDS barely plays. Sprinkle out those 8mpg to DMac, Braun, Enaruna and Wilson.
We good.

Mac gonna be gone for a long time. Maybe the rest of this season.
Even so, the lightfeet should not take his shirt off.

DMac might get 5 games, but he's not going to be suspended for the season. Good lord. There weren't even any meaningful punches landed. Nobody got hurt (players or fans). Bad optics. But mostly a lot of pushing and missed punches....and obviously the stool.
SDS is the 1 in danger of losing the season...and it doesn't help that the NCAA has already demonstrated that they have it out for the kid.
My guess:
SDS- 10 games
DMac- 3 games
MG- 2 games
Players who left the bench area not in the game- 1 game
The kid from KState in street clothes will likely get the rest of the season, or similar to SDS. And then 1 game for their players who left the bench area (which is nearly all of them)...plus similar to Dmac and MG for the other 2 main guys involved from KState.
Is it NBA or College where if you leave the bench it's an automatic 1 game suspension? Might be both. I know there was controversy 10+ years ago when Steve Nash or Amare stepped onto the floor during a playoff game and the NBA did nothing. Maybe NCAA will be forced to overlook the players who left the bench since they won't want to suspend entire teams?

Silvio 10 games, this guy gets it!
That would bring him back February 29...

As for the rest of the suspensions, does that mean next game we suit up 3 walk ons?

SDS should stop watching the Cleveland Browns and Miles Garrett.

I still don’t see where McCormack did anything egregious. If it’s more than 1 game for him I’ll be pissed.

The last similar big NCAA Brawl got punishment of 4-6 games...I hate agreeing with illy, but nobody is gone for the season

It looked to me that DMac was launching some WWE kicks at the end

I don't think so.
I think if you watch all the angles, what initially appeared to be a curb stomp was actually him lifting his leg carefully so he could find a place to step with stepping on someone.
Seriously.

Yeah. Dude's a bull in a china shop, but I don't think he tried to go american history x on anyone.

I agree. He was stepping up onto that little wooden platform. I don't even think that KSU guy was under there at that point. He ran the hell away.

Yeah, seeing it in more detail, I see that now.
Even though Doyel has been petitioning his removal form the team all season, DMac is a guy that we cannot afford to not have on the floor.

I think this is exactly why Self wants to play the 2BIGs together even though it's a little ugly at times.
I'd love to see some advanced stats on opponents offensive rebound % when Dok and DMac are both on the floor. Has to be super low.
