Also, now that I know it bothers PhD so much to see red on the front page of the forum, I'll be sure to post in SC just for kicks.

I'll just click on it and read it? It's not a color thing, I just like to make sure I've read all the posts.

Also, There's no fucking meat on those nachos.

And get the black olives (and sour cream) the fuck outta there.

They're black beans, not black olives. What threw me was the radishes. I have never in my life seen radishes on nachos, that's just nasty.

Someone just wrote into a job application here.
There's a description of a nice to have that reads:
"Have experience with MV*/MVC frameworks such as Vue, Angular, React"

Applicant writes back 'none of those frameworks are MVC, they are flux'.

I hate shit like this.
First off note MV* in the description - MV* means MV* whatever.

Whatever the hell you want to call it - it's a pattern that means, 'hey keep your data and your view separate - how you want them to communicate can be rigid/lose - just keep it separate.'
Just because Facebook changed the way MVC was being commonly applied and called it 'Flux' doesn't mean at it's root, it's not an MV pattern. Call Control whatever you want to - Dispatcher - call Model whatever you want to - Store - you reinvented another iteration of MV and coined it a new hip term, great.

So technically, yes, you are correct, React is 'flux'.
Congrats on pointing out the 'error'?

This would be like someone coming into your house and you saying 'hey, check out the new TV I just bought.'
And then they look at it and go, "this isn't a TV, it doesn't have a tuner, it's a display."
Way to go 'bud'.

And of note in the 'TV' scenario above, the guy coming into your house is say, someone new to the area, and just looking for a friend, and this is their first interaction with you.

Can't wait to keep hanging out with you.

Please feel free to come up with other examples of this:

Someone corrects you on a newer terminology that is basically the same thing as what you were describing/showing/using etc.

Immunoprecipitation vs. pull-down.

This seems to be pretty damn similar to what i'm talking about:

https://www.thermofisher.com/us/en/home ... html#intro

"Pull-down assays are a form of affinity purification and are similar to immunoprecipitation, except that a "bait" protein is used instead of an antibody."

I guess this might belong in the poli-bored but I don't post there but come home Friday night and there's a political sign posted in my median/tree belt. I understand the sidewalk is public property but i'm also pretty certain the tree belt is not. I have to mow it/take care of it.

I also know that stealing political signs here can cost you a $250 fine.

I didn't steal it. I just kicked it over. I guess it'll remain in my tree belt until Wednesday.

Who puts a sign in someone else's yard?

It was for Question One here in Maine.
I think I'm going to vote no on it.
