Re: i thought we had a deal?
I assume it's something about the "peace" accord with the Taliban?

Re: i thought we had a deal?
You just described most of the great "deals" allegedly agreed to by this president.
Re: i thought we had a deal?
Just Ledoux it
Re: i thought we had a deal?
With the difference being, this president is quick to point out that his deals are the best deals, better than any other president’s deals, believe me, every other deal is a total disaster.
Re: i thought we had a deal?
Eh, nice try but I don't recall any other President announcing so many alleged agreements that turn out to not actually be agreements at all.
Re: i thought we had a deal?
bbc links just don’t post here...wtf

Re: i thought we had a deal?
One of my favorite "deals" was Nixon's "Peace With Honor" plan of withdrawal, from Vietnam:
President Richard Nixon took center stage after the 1968 Presidential Campaign. Unlike his liberal predecessor Lyndon B. Johnson, Nixon served as the Republican candidate who promised to achieve “peace with honor” to end the struggles in Vietnam. Accomplishing peace, however, would be no easy task. Over the course of his presidency, Nixon took several directions to ease domestic unrest, assess economic setbacks, and show his brave commitment in taking victory over the communist enemies. In order to assure South Vietnam’s independence, Nixon attempted to weaken the North Vietnamese diplomatically with help from Moscow, authorize Vietnamization to pull out American troops and transfer responsibility to government in South Vietnam, and lastly, use the Nixon Doctrine to aid defense to United States’ allies upon request. Unfortunately, Nixon’s efforts did not exactly go according to plan, and ultimately brought insignificant results.
“I’m not going to end up like LBJ… holed up in the White House, afraid to show my face on the street,” Nixon declared. “I’m going to stop that war. Fast. I mean it!”...
