'Texas Ranger' Chuck Norris warns of government plot to take over state

The actor, martial artist, and internet meme Chuck Norris has warned of a federal government plot to take over the state of Texas.

Writing on the right-wing website WND, or WorldNetDaily, Norris discussed the potential for Jade Helm 15, a US military training exercise planned for July and August, to turn into a full-scale occupation of his home state.

Exercises will be held in Texas and six other states during Jade Helm 15, across public and private land. The training has been the focus of rightwing conspiracy theories since a map published for the purpose of the simulation labelled Texas, Utah and California as “hostile”.

“The US government says, ‘It’s just a training exercise’,” wrote Norris, 75. “But I’m not sure the term ‘just’ has any reference to reality when the government uses it.”

Norris Warns of '1,000 Years of Darkness'

Chuck Norris Warns of '1,000 Years of Darkness' If Obama Re-Elected text: Action film actor and martial artist Chuck Norris issued a grave warning to America's voters this week: Head to the ballot box, or sentence your children to "1,000 years of darkness."

Norris, along with his wife Gena, filmed a two-minute video urging people to "unite for God and country" by casting their ballots against Obama this November.

"Our great country and freedom are under attack," Norris says in the video, first posted to World Net Daily. "We are at a tipping point and quite possibly our country as we know it could be lost forever if we don't change the course our country is headed."

Quoting former President Reagan, Gena Norris warns that the country has a "rendezvous with destiny."

"We will preserve for our children this last best hope for man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into 1,000 years of darkness," she said, quoting one of Reagan's 1964 speeches. "If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."

Nah. Eastwood yelled at a chair for 12 minutes in front of 31 million people.

Chuck at least takes it to WND, and played to that audience.

At what? Acting? Directing? I'll go ahead and agree.
Otherwise, he's no more "fucking awesome" than 95% of those who post on this site.

As far as Chuck, Happy 80th Birthday to the man. I'll leave it at that.

Sure, both of those. His movies are fantastic. Additionally, hes one of those people I would love to sit down and have a beer with and listen. Woody Harrelson is another. Those might be the only actors that fall into that category for me

I saddened there wasn’t an explanation of what Chuck Norris does to covid-19 as opposed to what it might do to him.

covid-19 is serious business. We shouldn't joke about it.

This feels similar to changing perspectives on Dick Vitale.
