I'm just looking for 2020 to be in hindsight. These two and a half months have lasted 20 years.

Who knew that it could get worse than 2016, 2017 and 2019 so quickly.

Less than 7 weeks ago, we already knew about the virus for like a month.

my wife's grandmother, a conservative trump supporter and devout christian (church every sunday and three church groups/week) lives in rural nebraska...we tried (in vain) to get her to at least agree to stop shaking hands and hugging, at least for the time being.

her response? a rant about Obama and swine flu, the media blowing it out of proportion, and ending with her being convinced that god would save her

Fucking shame Paul Volcker died. He may have been the only one with the balls to to inflict the necessary short-term pain to set the long-term back on solid footing.
