Good evening KCrim posters.
Welcome to the KCrim Selection Show, where experts such as pdub have gone in barely any detail to select the best college teams across the USA.
We will be revealing the bracket in sections - so here we go.

We begin the bracket with no. 1 overall seeded Kansas in the Midwest.
An obviously soul crushing championship caliber team - there really aren't any flaws that we can see.
Inside/outside, just fucking deadly.

And they'll be matching up against some poor chump Robert Morris.

I guess Robert Morris won the NEC after going 20-14.
They got their ass handed to them at Note Dame and Pitt.

And Florida, the preseason what, 6 overall team, gets in as an 8.
The SEC just so weak, it's silly.

They'll be matching up against the St Marys Gaels, who lost in the WCC final to Gonzaga.

And the 5 seed is BYU. This is interesting. BYU was in the Maui Invitational against Kansas and played them tight for a bit. They were 4-3 at that point but have gone 20-5 since - beating Gonzaga.

And their 12 is Stephen F Austin - who had one of the largest upsets in history as they beat Duke at Duke.

More SEC here, we have Kentucky, as the 4, who knows if that point guard will play after he straight up flashed dolla dolla bills at the camera. We do know that Kentucky fans will be upset with this seeding -- they probably thought they'd be at least a 2.

And the kcrim committee does them no favors, matching them against a decent Belmont team.

And the 6 in the Midwest goes to Zona and Sean Miller, who still get a decent seed despite going 10-8 in the PAC12.

And they'll be matching up against Cincinnati, the 1st place team out of the American.

And Kansas's 3 is David Padgett's old team, the Ville, 2nd place finishers in the ACC, but dropped 2 of their last 3.

They'll be against the Anteaters out of the Big West.

We round out the Midwest with 7 seed USC who may have a gripe - they finished ahead of Arizona in the PAC 12.

They'll be matched up against Xavier! This is surprising...an 8-10 team in the Big East with a 10 seed...but their strength of schedule helped them here.

And not what the Jayhawks want to see here, Michigan State as their 2. Tom Izzo is renowned for his March Madness runs. They tied for 1st in the Big 10 and have won 5 in a row.

They go up against the Little Rock Trojans, 1st in the Sun Belt.

And we're back, only a mild burning sensation this time.

Image

The East regional, at MSG, has their number one seed - Dayton, who surprised everyone by making the finals of the Maui Invitational and taking Kansas to overtime. Obi Toppin is a superstar.

The Flyers get the winner of who even cares - NC Central, is that even a real team, and Winthrop, which is somewhere.

And, wow, Rutgers, the Scarlet Knights, out of the Big 10, guess it pays to play in a supposedly good conference.

They'll be facing another midlevel conference team, but a good one, in Chris Beard's Texas Tech. The Red Raiders have had an up and down season but still have a lot of talent on the squad and are one of the better coached teams in the country.

The 5 in the East looks like it's another tied for 1st Big 10 team, Wisconsin, who barely score, but can really put the clamps down on you on defense.

They'll be playing the winners of this bullshit playin thing. Why have 68 teams? So we can get this benchwarmers Stanford and Texas play? Let's just have 64.

There'll be a lot of teams looking at these selections thinking, man, we coulda been one of those benchwarmers. Those bubble squads waiting in the wings.

And we have a team with a lot of buzz, the Creighton Bluejays, no one wants to face them. They actually are 12th overall in Kenpom - and were one of the best teams in the Big East.

They'll be up against the Catamounts. What's a catamount? Vermont is one of those teams you want to pick for an upset but it'd be tough here.

Next up are the Nittany Lions Penn State. For some reason I think of the Quaker Oats guy when I think Penn State. But also the whole child abuse thing. Regardless, they are a 6 seed, more Big 10 saturation.

And more playin nonsense - 11 seeded Richmond and holding in vomit, 11 seeded Wichita State. The Shockers are probably loosing their shit.

Bound to beat them or Big 10 Penn State, are the Villanova Wildcats, the likely best team out of the Big East, and one of the few teams to beat Kansas this season.

The Wildcats will be going against Hofstra, 1st in the CAA, who won their title game.

Finishing up the East, there's Iowa, hey another Big 10 team. Did the KCrim committee even bother breaking these teams up or do they just want the muck of the Big 10 to just beat each other since they are likely overrated?

They'll be facing Lon Kruger's Sooners, who finished .500 in the Big 12, and probably just got in with a win @ TCU in their last game.

Their 2 is ACC champ Florida State, whose state senate thinks for some reason a 2 seed is the national champion.

North Dakota State who destroyed another North Dakota team in the finals of the Summit is the 15.

Let's move West young man to the WAC champs the ZAGS. A regular in March Madness, can they break the seal? They've come close and have a really stacked squad this season.

They take on a shade of Brown, Sienna. Or a window looking at some grass.

The 8 seed is Colorado, who were in and out of the top 25 this season, but lost five straight. 11 losses but still an 8.

They face 9 seeded LSU, who tied for 2nd in the SEC. These guys sure can score.

And someone must think the Big 12 is legit because here is a .500 team getting a 5 seed. Thing is, West Virginia has had a very tough schedule, played some good teams to the wire and beaten no. 2 and no. 4 at the time. And Kenpom loves them.

They'll be facing a familiar face in New Mexico State. The Aggies. 1st in the WAC. One of the better defensive teams in the country -- or is it their competition?

The 5 in the West is Michigan. They had a 4 game loosing stretch midseason and a 3 of 4 game loosing stretch to end the season. 19-12 but with wins v Gonzaga and Michigan State.

They'll match up against Liberty Liberty Liberty Liberty.

6 seed out here is Butler. The Bulldogs. 5th in the Big East but with 22 wins. They managed to beat Villanova but lost a close one at Seton Hall.

They'll face Ivy League champs Yale, who are back in the tournament again after being a 14 seed last season.

Next up are the Oregon Ducks, the PAC 12 champs. 13th in the AP, 17th in kenpom, this feels like the right spot for them.

Facing off against the Ducks is the team that may have burst a bubble, the Bradley Bears, who won the MVC tourney...you'd expect the MVC regular season champs UNI would get an at large bid.

The 2018 embarrassment and the 2019 redemption story, the Virginia Cavs out of the ACC, are the 7 seed.

The Friars will be their 10. More and more bubbles are popping. The Friars were one of those edge cases.

And 2 seed, San Diego State, who knows what they are really...at one point they were 26-0 but their strength of schedule is lacking.

Can a team named after a toothpaste beat them? Likely not...but Virginia or Providence might challenge them.
