How do you pronounce this word? I get made fun of for it often but its how I learned to say it in Kansas. Curious how other Kansans say the word.

I came to Kansas as an adult (almost 20 yo) from outside the US. So, I would be part of the "control group" in your experiment. I pronounce it the way I have since childhood, exactly the way it's written - cray-YAWN

I usually pronounce it wrong. I say cran.
Depending on who you ask, I also struggle with pronouncing milk, egg, leg, roof, and other what should be easy to pronounce words.

I’m a cran. I like the simplicity. That word doesn’t need two syllables.

I’ve also recently adopted that fun southern way of saying oil that’s more like ohhhl.
