We'll see what grand jury does with the video.

Also looks like a no-doubt indictment to me.

Former "acquaintance"/"co-worker" of mine - who happens to be Black.

"I saw the video this morning. It's ok to shoot an unarmed man because in your opinion he was a burglery suspect, because he was hauling ass(jogging)"?

"people don't realize that those asshats protesting stay at home orders would be shot on sight if they were black. I have guns and could do the same thing if I wanted to protest anything BUT I'm not stupid and I know there'd be different results".

This is what I find surprising/interesting. Gregory McMichael (the father who was allegedly involved in the shooting) was a former police detective and district attorney investigator in Brunswick County.

That was murder. Its not all that debatable. Even IF he had been a burglar its still murder. Unless somehow theres more to story. Seems pretty clear cut at this point.

So if I follow:

1.Reagan had a speech in Mississippi in 1980.

2.People were murdered in the same county in 1964

3. It is questioned if the motivation for reagans speech location is related to the murders in 1964. Because apparently arguing for states rights is racist.

4. This man got murdered in 2020 because Reagan had a speech in the same county as 2 people were murdered during the civil rights movement.

Should we blame Jimmy Carter? The same year nearly same time he gave a speech in Tuscumbia Alabama, which is small town also happened to be the national headquarters of the Ku Klux Klan. Carter, previously had complained about federal housing policies which attempted “to inject black families into a white neighborhood just to create some sort of integration.” He also argued that there was “nothing wrong with ethnic purity being maintained.”

I mean, as long as were throwing blame around from 40 years ago. Hey, look at that, Carters even from Georgia!!

Do I believe any of the above? No. Neither of those people had anything to do with 2 people chasing down and shooting another guy.

Hey, Republicans themselves admitted to the Southern Strategy started by Reagan and apologized for it. But TDub, who doesn't live in the South, surely knows better than than anyone else.

Trump has stirred up the Bubbas to think they can go out again and kill black men with impunity, but that started with Reagan.

You know who I blame?

The two dipshits who shot him. I know that's crazy, but when I see a murder, I blame the murderers.

If any of you have lived your lives in the Deep South, I might accept that you understand its history and culture far better than I.

The Bubbas understood in the late 1960s that they would be prosecuted for killing black people and that the FBI and the Federales would be involved in their states in ways they didn't like. Reagan signaled that was all over. The Bubbas got the message.

Trump said that a Klan rally in Charlottesville was a fine thing. The Bubbas got the message.
