Chicago people
Chicago people
I might have a one-night stopover in Chicago in a few weeks, with my son (12). Is anything "open" such that it's worth coming into and staying in the city? Or best to just get something near the airport?
Re: Chicago people
I’d assume you can rent the bikes and ride along lsd if nothing else? We had a blast doing that last time I was there.
Of course, everything was open.

Fish - I know you are a big baseball fan. Obviously I don't know about your son. Just called Wrigley and unfortunately the "tour program" is still "suspended". Not sure if and when it will resume.
As far as if it's worth coming in to and staying in the city, I wish I had a good answer for you. The city is moving in to phase 4 next week. Nice thing is places such as Millennium Park, museums, etc, will be opening. Always nice to take a bike ride along the lake if the weather is nice. You're not going to see Chicago as you usually know it in Summer time but there definitely are things to do and see.

Shedd aquarium is worth the trip into the city, if it's open.

Tangent: dispensaries.
Relatively new there, so how well stocked are they? Is it better to order ahead?
Cheaper in the burbs?

Re: Chicago people
Very few in the "city". Most were looted during the "riot/s". Very poorly stocked before the "riot/s". Not sure what's going on with them now.
Definitely better to go to the burbs.

Re: Chicago people
Many/most that I am aware of are requiring pre ordering to speed the process up. Some have curbside pickup for medical patients which is nice so that they don't have to go inside.

Re: Chicago people
Thanks. Supposedly there are some up by Lakeview. I wonder if that's far enough outside the city.
They need to just set up a shop at MDW.

Cool. I've used the pre online ordering in Colorado before. Very convenient and good for a person like me that is a huge sucker when it comes to upselling.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 3:12 pm Many/most that I am aware of are requiring pre ordering to speed the process up. Mine is in burbs, well stocked on everything except actual flower, which lately they are almost always out of

CNB, Illini, and Mjl - I'm sure Fish appreciates your input regarding what he can/should do with his 12 year old son when they come to Chicago. Might as well tell him what strip clubs to hit up too.
Re: Chicago people
He specified tangent as a warning of what was to come at least.
Re: Chicago people
I rarely go to the city and my kids aren't that age yet so I don't have good answers on that subject. Weed on the other hand...
Re: Chicago people
I was messing with you guys. I suppose if a 12 year old is going to get high for his first time it might as well be on a trip/vacation/excursion with his father.
