1. No and likely never will.
2. D and it's not close.
3. Probably not. I'd do one of those midwest nod and smile and say something like hey or something.
4. Yep. Quite a few from afar.
5. Metro Denver. I'm not much of a repeat traveler. Been to Portland once and San Diego twice for example.

1. Yes, once in Hawaii (it was nerve wracking because the helicopter malfunctioned) but was able to land safely. Never again.
2. a (I hate cloudy days)
3. I saw Embiid a few years ago walking around downtown KC when he was in town playing an exhibition game. I just yelled RCJH and he smiled and waved.
4. No
5. Probably Denver (I've been there more times than I can remember)

The condition of being somewhere 4+ times and also within the US slims down the options.

Work travel has a huge influence on the condition--a lot of work travel to bad places I'd throw a fit if I had to live there: STL, DFW, PHX, Louisville, to name a few.

I guess San Diego then or LA. Chicago is just fine but too cold. Denver is a good choice but not sure if it can handle the transplant growth.

1 - Yes

2 - c,a,b,d,e

3 - Would depend on whether the admiration is general, or specific. I admire Alex Gordon a lot, but for general things like work ethic and perseverance. Wouldn't say anything. I admire Dayton Moore a lot, specifically (at the moment) for how the organization is taking care of its people right now. I'd probably say something about that.

4 - Don't think I've seen one on the ground. Seen the thing a lot where one tries to drop.

5 - Minneapolis, certainly. I really can't think of any medium-to-large metro where I simply could not be happy living.

I thought of Minny over Denver, but Minneapolis is just so freaking cold and their winters are long. Their summers are perfect...

Yeah I hear ya...If my job wasn't in downtown KC, I'd consider moving to Lawrence. I just don't want to commute that far. Lawrence is the perfect size and you can be in the country in 10 minutes or less.

I lived in Minneapolis for about five years. The winters are fine (honestly the short days are tougher than the cold).

The key is to find a reason to like the winter. For me, it was snowmobiling. For others, it's ice fishing or cross-country skiing or hunting or any number of things. If you have a reason to look forward to winter, it's bearable, even pleasant.

I lived near the canadian border for 10 years. Short winter days suck, its slightly better here. But still short. Got my furbearers license now and can only trap in the winters. Course between work and kids.....there aint much time left.
