Grandma's 5 Questions for 8/5/20

Post by Deleted User 289 »

1. Within the next 4 years you must run for a public office and accept the role - and serve the full term - should you win.
Which of the following do you run for?
a) President of the United States
b) Mayor of the town/city you live in
c) Governor of the state you live in
d) U.S. House of Representatives
e) U.S. Senate
f) Secretary of State for the state you live in
g) STATE Supreme Court
h) Commissioner of your Metropolitan Water Reclamation District

2. I had an encounter last night in which I had to tell 5 police officers to keep an eye on someone and make sure they don't do anything to me.
I did NOTHING to the person who "threatened" me.
Have you ever felt the need to tell the police to protect you from another person - and told them (the police)?

3. Two parter. Facebook related.
A) If you have a Facebook account, have you ever unfriended someone - and felt bad about it but felt it was necessary?
B) This morning I received a friend request from my dead Uncle. Obviously a scam/spam but a little un-nerving. I am torn, should I tell my cousins and give them a heads up that there is someone trying to "steal" my Uncle's Facebook identity?

4. You can NOT use/do one of the following things until January 1, 2021. Which do you choose?
a) Can NOT watch TV anywhere at any time.
b) Can NOT use a shower anywhere at any time
c) Can NOT use or be in an automobile/bus/van/suv/truck/motorcycle
d) Can NOT eat/drink any foods that begin with the letters A, B, C, E, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W.
e) Can NOT hear/listen to music of any kind anywhere
f) Can NOT use toothpaste or mouthwash
g) Can NOT use a computer or cell phone to access the internet
h) Can NOT use a fork, knife, and spoon
i) Can NOT use deodorant or antiperspirant

5. Have you ever "assisted" (at least been a contributing part) in getting someone fired from their job?

1. D.
2. No
3. No. It's refreshing to get rid of people who have deserved it. No. Not worth it.
4. A. I haven't watched much TV since sports stopped and haven't started back up really since they started.
5. No, but it's trending that way. Been involved in a lot of discussions about some old hag who is collecting a check but not contributing at all to the workplace. She's about to be gone within a few months. Higher ups just have to figure out how regards to exact reason, severance, etc.

1. Go big! President. Would have the best perks and obviously I would have a staff/cabinet to do pretty much everything for me.

2. Obviously yes.

3. A) Yes, many times. A couple I was legitimately worried about repercussions. Nut jobs can and often do crazy things. B) So far - no

4. I'll choose A

5. Yes. Unfortunately.

1) Senate. Looks like a good place to make a ton of money ala Cocaine Mitch.
2) No
3) Yes, didn't feel bad about it at all. I had this crazy friend from work, she went on an all day pro-gun tirade the day a bunch of kids got shot and killed in school. She was way more concerned for guns than kids. I finally had enough.
4) H tacos for everyone
5) I fired some cooks/prep guys/dishwashers

I married into a mexican family. Well kinda. My wife's great grandpa and grandma came from Mexico back in late 1800s. So wife's grandma was 100% mexican. She tought me how you can literally scope EVERYTHING in a tortilla. You can even use it as a barrier to cut meat with your fingers. Incredible.

Went to a mexican restaurant a week or so ago. I impressed the staff when my food came with tortillas and I wiped the plate clean using just a tortilla.

1. Senator

2. No

3. Yes, sort of; yes you should

4. h. Very easy. Indian, Middle Eastern, Ethiopian food (eaten with fingers almost exclusively), East Asian food (chopsticks, lift bowl to mouth), pizza, Mexican street food, sandwiches etc. As a vegetarian I rarely require a knife to cut my food. Only salads and pasta really require utensils to eat.

5. Not that I can recall

Do you all really smell SO bad that you'd rather give up eating anything that requires a fork knife of spoon than not wearing deodorant or antiperspirant?

I never wear an antiperspirant and while I wear deodorant daily, I can't imagine I'd smell offensively considering I shower at least once everyday.

When it's sweater weather, i'd rather have deodorant and antiperspirant.
I can make do with a spork and chopsticks.

Actually, I ONLY put deodorant on after my morning shower. Do you guys put it on stinky sweaty armpits?

That's grosser than not wearing deodorant at all?

I'd give up sweaters before knife fork and spoon too.

Also, antiperspirant ruins your undershirts.

Not wearing deodorant/antiperspirant ruins my undershirts if and when I layer up ( sweater weather ) and forces it so that I'd have to take a sweater to a dry cleaner every use rather than, oh, every three/four uses.

Why you wearing sweaters?

If you're sweating that much it's obviously not cold enough for a sweater.

If you work in a climate controlled building, there's no reason to ever wear a sweater.

If you can't use a knife, you'd basically have to go vegetarian for the rest of the year, and even that would be hard.

You can't cut anything with a spork or a chopstick. You would have to buy everything pre-cut, and I'm not sure that's allowed in this scenario.

I live in Maine.
It's cold.
I like wearing sweaters.

And i'm not sweating that much - but just being in layers can cause some dankness without deodorant.

And I can eat a pork chop with my hand. Or a steak. Just grab it and bite it.
I'm eating bacon in a turkey sandwich at this moment with no knife or fork.
Or I can have my blowup doll cut it for me - which she would do happily if she knew my circumstance.

Can't make street tacos, you can't cut the meat or the onions or the cilantro.

You could only make ground beef, or possibly shredded meats but you couldn't trim the fat off them prior to cooking, if you make them gringo style you can't use lettuce unless you buy that gross pre-cut stuff.

Can't make pico de gallo.
