Where does my daughter go to eat?

Obed & Isaac's is good and has a nice outdoor area for eating/drinking.

Not sure if covid is a worry for her or not. If not, Maldaners is really good as well (just no good outdoor seating). Vele is also pretty good, but same issue of no outdoor seating.

Or Darcy's Pint if she wants a nice bar....and get the buffalo chicken horseshoe.

If you don't know what a horseshoe is then Google it. They are good.

Sadly, this place is the busiest restaurant in town most nights.

I just googled. Most places are closed now, which is understandable. She will be there a few days. I will pass on the suggestions. It appears there is good pizza there

Decent pizza, not great compared to Chicago or New York...but not bad.

"Gabatoni's" and "Bernie&Betty's" are the 2 best imo....but both are sort of in the hood.

This is an elite name for a pizza joint.

Governor Pritzker's Springfield home would have been a decent choice. I'm sure he eats well.

I doubt he's stayed in that home more than 10 times.

You shouldn't doubt it. You would be wrong to do as such.

Not sure what you mean when you say "stay/ed" and "times".
He often sleeps in his home in Springfield.
I know, you want me to define "often". I don't know exactly how often but I do know it's been more than 20 "times" since he's been Governor.

Back to Leawood's daughter and where she ate....
I'm curious too.

She went to fast food. She was in Springfield for a horse show.

She was miserable food wise.

Hope the horse show went well.
Fast food works when food is needed but it seems she was not happy with her fast food.
Sorry to hear/read she was miserable.
I assume very few people who go to Springfield come away saying how great of a time they had. Unless they were drinking with friends and/or on a field trip.

Ya....Springfield is an acquired taste. The downtown area is not very booming right now, but they have been trying to revive and rebrand it for the last decade or so.

If you're already there, you gotta try a horseshoe, right?

Yes!!! Without a doubt.

Darcy's Pint and Dublin Pub are my personal favorites in town.

Although an unknown spot, if you are into (breaded) buffalo chicken horseshoes, is a tiny bar called Shepp's about 15min out of town because it has the best fried chicken tenderloins of the bunch. Hand breaded and fried, never frozen, and made with love by some little old lady LOL.
