KU 5 point favorites. Game at 8:30 Hawk Time.

They can't shoot. They can defend decently though.

Biggest rivalry game loses its luster in the time of COVID and with Cal no longer getting every top 5 guy.

I mean, everyone (Tool Jeff Goodman) talks about how Kansas is getting top talent guys. Which is true, they won't get a top 5 recruit for a long time, but Kentucky has really dropped off on their recruiting. And the biggest difference between Self and Calipari is that Self is turning 4 star guys into big time players and a potential shot at the league, Calipari is just holding on to them long enough for them to go pro. The actual Xs and Os between these 2 guys is so far apart, it's actually laughable.

Garrett likely going to take the responsibility of guarding Boston. He's going to get his shots up. All their other players are actually pretty bad at offense. They *shouldn't* score a lot. Expect a lower scoring game.

Cal's a really good game coach--not Self or anything, of course, but obviously he's won everywhere. He created a great model at UK that was blown up by K's shadiness and just, ego or whatever, hasn't adapted it to compete at a KU level perennially. I also think that model means he doesn't bother with putting any creativity into his offense anymore.

His happiest days now are when the NBA Playoffs are rolling.

Replace Playoffs with Draft and I would agree.

He's a draft whore.

Lots of switches and different guys to guard Boston--a luxury of having such a tall team.

I don't see Garrett guarding the other team's best player night in and night out this season.

I would agree in most cases, but I think this game will be different. Will put Garrett on a national stage even more. But come conference play, he won't do it every game.

Sure. Actual camera time.

God knows if K had the alums that Cal had in the playoffs this past season that ESPN would have had him on the set.

Cal, Nike and the missing Top-5 recruits. One of my favorite Hardy Boys mysteries.

Huh? They will play 4 five star freshmen.

1 thing UK has done well this season is rebound. On the flip side, I don't feel like this is something we have done well at all...

If we can keep UK off the offensive glass and limit them to 1-shot trips, I think we can win this game fairly easily.

Could be just a weird thing, but all players and walkons are on the floor warming up except.....

Marcus Garrett

Garrett missed some time against St. Joe's and wasn't 100% for the whole game because of "breathing issues."

I guess he has asthma, but hearing that doesn't make anyone feel comfortable in this climate.

Pregame interview today. Self said Marcus isn’t playing because he’s “sick”. But Marcus is out there warming up. Interesting.
