NFL Offseason 2021

Chiefs have some work to get under cap.
Frank Clark better be open to a restructure, as he didn't do anything to warrant his albatross contract.
Mahomes will of course rework things if they need him to.
I think Hitchens is gone.
I also think we may have kept Fisher if he hadn't gotten hurt - but with him maybe missing all of next season, it may be a tough cut that saves us close to 12 million.
Watkins 9 million is gone unless he takes 1/3 of that.
Bye Demarcus Robinson.

I think the cut is to help get his contract hit more reasonable when he does retire.

Bucs have 4 key defensive players as FA's.
Godwin, Gronk, Fournette and AB all FA's too.
They'll loose a couple of those defensive players and likely Fournette.
I think they figure out how to get Godwin and AB back.
Gronk would play for free.

That is thing with Frank's contract, which I agree they would love to get out from underneath but he holds all the leverage.

Famous Jameis gets the last laugh as the Saints take down Brady and the Bucs in the 2022 NFC Championship Game.
(headlines that won't happen)

That's what it is exactly. It helps with the dead cap.

5 outta 9 have Chiefs in the SB again.
2 have Bills. 1 has Ravens. 1 has Browns.
I'm going with Jason Reid here:
"Reid: Chiefs over Rams. Mahomes is the game's best player. Reid and everyone in the Chiefs organization understands what they have in Mahomes, and they're intent on maximizing their success while his window remains wide open. On the other side, the Stafford-Jared Goff trade will wind up being a spectacular success for the Rams. McVay will regain his playcalling groove; the Rams' defense will be even better under new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris; and the franchise will return to the Super Bowl for the second time in four seasons. But that's where the Rams will encounter Mahomes, and the meeting won't end well for them."

I think it'll Chiefs and 49ers. The 49ers hung in there with about 25 injuries to their roster at some point, it seemed.

All my money would be on the Chiefs.
The only question would be is if Mahomes is a little rusty having an abnormal offseason and the Chiefs start slow giving away home field advantage. Even then, I expect the Chiefs will torch the AFC playoffs.

The ONLY challenge in the AFC is Buffalo. Pittsburgh will be bad, Baltimore has hit their peak, don't trust Cleveland that much.
They will run roughshod over the AFC no matter if it's regular season or post season.

Yep. The AFC blows.

Which is great. Give me the easy route to the SB every year, please. Part of the reason why Brady was able to feast in the AFC so long. His conference was trash every year, which gave him a pretty good chance at home field and then he knew he was probably 'only' going to have to through Manning to get to the SB.

Browns have a good defense. Same with the Chargers. Cover 4 is our awesome future.

I don't agree that Baltimore has hit their peak - have we already given up on Lamar Jackson?
Buffalo will be better than this season.
Browns could be as well.
And I think the Chargers go 10-6 ( or 11-6 whatever stupid 17 game season ).
And if Deshaun Watson goes to Miami, you have to put the Dolphins in the top 3 teams in the NFL.
As far as the NFC:
Saints are done.
Tampa will get worse - they can't sign everyone back - but they'll be in an easy division to win.
Packers should be the same, in another division that will get worse.
Chiefs. Bills. Ravens.
Packers. Rams. Bucs. Seahawks.

Love Jackson. I think the rest of the roster is pretty meh. And you have a starting RT requesting a trade, Mark Ingram is gone, their WR core is below average. Their defense is getting older.

Seems like such a pivotal season for both Buffalo and Baltimore.

Top 5 in each conference..
Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Browns, Phins (with or without Watson) belong here.
Pack, Hawks, Rams, Bucs, Cards.
