That works if the two Transfers are both 6' 7" or taller, elite athletes, and great shooters.

We'll just go and grab 2 Top 10 NBA draft prospects, no big deal.

So we have 3 PF's coming in (all 6'7-6'8), Clemence, Adams who have signed and another guy not signed yet? But no Center nor a PG or SG? Should be a great year :)

Name the last JUCO player to pan out here?

Curry has limited ability. We can only hope he’s our Mark Vital.

I think Self realized this team is undersized and he needed a stretch 4 rather than a 4th guard, and that's Clemence. I think the other two are just the next best two bigs he could get.

How many scholarships do we have yet, assuming no one transfers and we only lose Garrett?

Bank on it. We will have transfers.

I'm not sure what choice we have other than adding someone like Marcus Carr and hoping like hell Och and Wilson take significant jumps. CB/TGF/Enaruna/Harris or TyTy could round out a nice rotation, and we try and run it back with this group.

Our frontcourt depth will be better.

6 Enaruna JR &
7 Harris SO
8 Jossell SO &
9 Muscadin SO $
10 Thompson SO
11 Wilson SO
12 Adams FR
13 Clemence FR

14 Lightfoot SR *
15 Teahan SR *
16 Jankovich JR %

13 scholarships allowed.

“Free” eligibility year not counted.

I think I have this correct now?

Teahan is a walk on, so no threat that he will count against.

It'd be nice to have some idea whether I'll care about next year's results. If we're tournament-eligible, then I'd be very very very concerned about us landing a lead guard transfer.

How much may it be possible to re-think Dave’s role?

It’s not that he’s not good. It’s that he’s an old school center who wants to play like a finesse forward.

I've come around on him. I can see a scenario where we're very good and he leads us in scoring. That said, we have a low ceiling if we can't find one backcourt guy, or preferably two, who can go get a goddamned bucket.

Thinking about Dave’s game, doesn’t it seem like the ball stops with him a lot?

If he gets it in the post, he’s gonna collect and assess, which give the d time to square up and maybe even double.

Contrast that with Dok, who would often pin the D and be making a move to the hoop before he even caught the ball, and often score in rhythm, within a second or less of being fed.

Now I know Dok is physically superior to Dave, but I think it’s also very much a footwork thing, and I dunno what’s preventing Dave from improving that.

Doke was a black hole, until he wasn't. And then he was the best big in the country.
