Primary Day in KY

Off to the polls soon.
I don't have high hopes for D Senatorial or Rep candidates in this one.

Sounds like me living here in Nebraska. I can't wait for the day I move away from this ridiculous state.

I had a very interesting thought about Congressional representation and is there a way to seriously avoid gerrymandering. What if we did the primary and general election in reverse? Let’s say we divide a State into a number of Congressional district based on contiguous cities/counties containing the requisite population for a district. Then in the general election everyone in the State voted their party preference. Then the number of seats are proportionally allocated based on the vote proportion and then the districts with the majority vote representing a party will select from candidates representing that party to see who would represent the party.
Makes more sense than current but not without some growing pains
