Jayhawk Trivia

Post by ousdahl »

can we get a thread going of who can share and/or answer the best trivia questions about/related to KU hoops?

For instance:

Name the the Jayhawks whose coattails Lebron had to ride cuz he never could win a ring without one

(hint: I just named two of them in the NBA thread...)

here's another one, sort of a two parter, and related to one another:

who can name the last two Jayhawks who started all four years at KU?

(and for the sake of this question, I'm counting starts for the majority of all four years...sorry if significant time/games missed cuz injured, suspended, started only one or two games as a freshman while Naadir Tharpe was motorboating some milf, etc...)

Hint: they both played in the National Championship game...

related: how do I find the four-year starters prior to those two? Is there a good way to research?

No one told me there were going to be tests.

Best one to make money - in a bar - or anywhere else. Bet someone they can't tell you who scored the most points points for a career in Kansas Basketball history.

BINGO! Key word being "Men's".
My guess is 99% of non Kansans have never heard of Lynette Woodard.

ohhh good answers!

I think Aaron and Nick would be the two prior to the two I thought of.

With the two I thought of being, Ochai Agbaji and Tyshawn Taylor.

though, if we're gonna split hairs, maybe Ochai's freshman year doesn't count for the "majority," considering he started it as a redshirt.

Woodard, depending on if you count Pearl Moore from a tiny no name school, is still the leading women’s collegiate scorer.

But not NCAA as she ( Woodard ) played before women became part of it.

Yeah I'd think either him or Ochai. Ochai did like 36 per game in 2022.

7 players averaged 19+ PPG in a single season under Bill Self and Roy Williams.
Can you name the 7 and what years they did it in?

I can't guess the seasons but I will guess Pierce, Mason, Lawson, Gooden, Simien, LaFrentz, and I think Calloway or someone else kind of obscure is the "trick" that most people wouldn't think of.
