Forgive me, I'm not a smart person.
Only reason why the USA would even care about winning by more than 6.5 is if they are worried about goal differential - right?
Otherwise, why wouldn't they all have people they care about bet a bunch of money on them NOT to cover?

At least ESPN didn’t make it mandatory default scoreboard like they did NCAAW tourney.
I guess when they aren’t broadcasting it, a sport doesn’t need to be front and center.

I’m sorry, I haven’t watched women’s soccer in a bit.
This isn’t great.
This is really quite not good.
But go USA.

I think one of the biggest differences you can tell immediately is pace and first touch.
Pace not only on running down the field but the movement of the ball and even the speed of the ball from the passes. It seems to take a while.
But the first touch isn’t close to the foot…it’s bouncing up into the air and then having to take an additional touch. Where’s the one touch passing? Does it exist?

Correct call for sure.
That was a penalty.

So Alex Morgan likes to pass the ball non instep to the goalkeeper during penalties then fake injury bc she’s embarrassed.

2-0.
We probably should be up 4-0.
I’m thinking end 4-0 but shoulda been 7-0.

So I went to watch the ladies last night, and discovered that I don’t get local fox channel as they are in a fight with DirecTV.

I watched some of it.
The women looked a bit better after the break - some more one touch, purposeful movement.
They deserved a 2-1 win.
They need at least one point against Portugal to advance.

Good assessment pdub!
I watched right after Horan scored her goal. Netherlands may have out played the USA after that but felt the USA had better (and missed) scoring opportunities. The Worm needs to teach his daughter how to finish.

They interviewed Horan after the game.
Sounds like a dude.

I scored as many goals today as they did.
Sweds next? If so, sucks to be the USA - if they play how they have played.

If the US plays like they have the first three games, I think the Swedes win with ease.
