It partially restores my faith in humanity when I see that other people, you and jfish69, subscribe to the New Yorker, too.

Sounds like Burghum might be out due to the 67 year old getting injured in a pickup basketball game last night.
Reminds me of my latest Ragbrai where one guy in our group got knocked out of the ride due to a keg falling on his foot on the way to the starting town, a full day before the the start of the ride. Foreshadowing of the hellish shit show to come.

Did he twist his thinking ankle? Or sprain his speaking wrist?

Meanwhile the main event is coming up.
If I were Trump, I wouldn't attend tonight's debate either.
Lots to lose, little to nothing to win.
As the incumbent President, if I were Biden I wouldn't debate anyone other than the eventual republican presidential candidate. And, if said candidate is a pathological liar like Trump, I'd have to give it some thought before I'd agree to debate him, too.

Depends where The Defendant’s decompensation is at by then.

Full disclosure: I had to scroll thru my channels to find Fox, because I had no idea which channel it is.

Bret looks more and more like Sam Donaldson with time.

Unless you are in a masochistic drinking game keyed on "woke", turn off the electronics. I am not even watching the recaps. Eck. Governmental unsuitability clown car.

It's a challenge to watch, for sure.

I’m watching.
Don’t know if anyone else here would have happened to see the 90s movie Disturbing Behavior, but…ah…DeSantis reminds me of that.

Christie is basically Bill running the high-low in 2023. He knows what he’s doing, the stuff should work…and it’s just gonna be noncompetitive.

I agree, he might be among the most sane, but that pretty much makes him unacceptable.
