T-Day
T-Day
Putting together a menu.
Pecan smoked turkey.
Sausage dressing.
Taters
Gravy
Cranberries cooked with ginger, orange juice and Grand Marnier.
Sweet potatoes of some kind.
Veggie to be named later.
Homemade rolls
Pies
I've seen lots of menus with Mac and cheese. Doesn't seem like T-day food to me.

Re: T-Day
3 things.
1. Sounds awesome, what time should I be there?
2. Ever tried using cheap orange liquor? Personally I have not noticed a difference when using Grand Marnier vs cheap-ass triple sec for cooking. You'd know better than me though.

Where's the dressing?
(And don't give my any of that "dressing" with oysters in it, because that
"Doesn't seem like T-day food to me", either.)

Re: T-Day
Mac n Cheese definitely isn’t traditional, but it sure makes everyone go, ‘whooooooo’
Re: T-Day
cheesy scalloped potatoes are more fitting than Mac and cheese but they're essentially the same idea. I'm eating both of them if available.
I've never understood the sweet potatoes and marshmallow combo that seems so common.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: T-Day
That would be exactly ( assuming gravy doesn't have to be listed ) what I would pare it down to if my list was max 5.KUTradition wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 9:04 am i’m leaning towards a reduced menu this year

Just seeing this. Grand Marnier is the stuff. No substitute. Plus I get to have a glass.mjl2 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 7:10 pm 3 things.

I am in disbelief that Gran Marnier is used for anything other than making a margarita more yummy.jhawks99 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 10:55 amJust seeing this. Grand Marnier is the stuff. No substitute. Plus I get to have a glass.mjl2 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 7:10 pm 3 things.
