Might have been some other thread about this bro but what do we think of this bro?

Traitorous spy or champion of a free press?

Anywho so his extradition hearing is wrapping up

I mean... all he did was report things. Supposedly he "stole secret information" and revealed it is what his "crime" is

Says all you need to know about your government though. When they go to these lengths to hide things from their citizens, and go to these lengths to punish people who try to expose truth

yea, I think there may be some gray area between espionage, and being punished for exposing war crimes.

Even if Assange published info that was technically classified, or otherwise didn't go about it in the appropriate journalistic manner, I think the bigger question will be how he's treated by history.

What would be an “appropriate” journalistic manner then?

There is no such thing as "technically classified".

Plus, it is against the law.

Meh, “the law” is pretty relative.

The real question, again, is history.

There’s been a lotta folks who broke the law and got remembered as the good guy anyway.
