Believe it or not, my plan last night was to wake up this morning and create this thread.

Howsabout we all take a deep breath and try to actually appreciate something!

A little positivity, a little gratitude, a little wind in our sails.

Currently on break at work enjoying a granola bar outside in the sunshine cuz the weather is so lovely here today.

What are you grateful for?

Speaking of good weather, and of yoga pants, know what that reminds me of?

Sundress season!

Anyone have that one pic of that dame with a face like wiscy and a body like trustee?

I would be grateful to see it again

Funny you should say that.
This morning there were two attractive young women walking on the sidewalk wearing yoga pants.
Right behind them was a fat woman in her hospital scrubs.
NOT funny thing was when a lot of men did head turns for the women in yoga pants and no one looked twice at the fat woman in her scrubs. I say not funny because I couldn't help but think the woman in the scrubs is probably a better person and would make a better companion.

My good vibe/s for today goes out to the element that is congregating at Oak Street Beach right now.
I'm proud of them for being able to co-exist without shooting or stabbing each other. Yet. It's still early.

I mean, sure there is some negativity to that vibe but can I at least get a little credit for the effort?

What’s your guy’s Memorial Day plans?

I’m goin camping with some old friends. Feel pretty good about that.

I’m in charge of camp dinner Sunday night. Got tacos and margs planned. But I make more of a sugar free marg spritzer thing…tequila, club soda, and a lotta lime. It’s easier to drink all night than a cocktail that’s like half agave nectar.

Had today off. BUD and I canoed to our close by restaurant/bar. Met an oysterman. He gave us new rope for our canoe and wants to take us out for drinks and talk shop.

Maybe fly a kite and then yard sale tomorrow.
Trip up to Belfast Sunday for dinner.
Monday will try to take miniBUD out on the canoe for the first time. Try to grill if the weather is nice.

I tend to add seltzer water ( grapefruit/lime/lemon etc ) to Simply Limeade for my quick in the mood for a marg margs.

Do BUDs have to wear live jackets in a canoe or is it a little redundant considering how well inflatables already float?

Took my mother out to dinner for her 91st birthday last night.
Had an excellent meal, with outstanding service, and enjoyed the conversation/s with my extremely lucid and coherent mother.
For all that I was extremely grateful.

P.S. What I ate (I drank water and Ginger Ale).....

That all looks really good.

But wtf, why are we discussing a lucid and coherent 91yo here when we could be discussing as a presidential candidate on the pols bored?

Wait, maybe the lucid and coherent part is a disqualifier

That WAS my defense of Biden in the past. That I know people who are in their 90s who are as sharp as a tack and I know people in their early 70s who are as dull as a marble - so we shouldn't use a specific age number in regards to what is and isn't too old to be President.

Back to the good vibes mode.....

I believe air conditioning is one of the 75 best inventions of the past 200 years.
I believe television is one of the 100 best inventions of the past 200 years.
I believe computers are one of the 65 best inventions of the past 200 years.
I believe home electricity is one of the 70 best inventions of the past 200 years.
I believe electric refrigerators are one of the 200 best inventions of the past 200 years.

All things I am grateful for and am enjoying at the moment (I just took a cold bottle of soda out of the refrigerator).

No.

I had a lecture class as a 3rd year student at KU med that started at 6am and lasted an hour, then we all went to our surgery rotations. Unfortunately, my rotation was at the KC VA med center, so I got to drive there in the rush hour traffic. 6 am, and I couldn't believe the number of my classmates who showed up with Coke and Mt Dew Big Gulps they'd bot at the Quik Trip at 39th and Rainbow on their way to class. What a way to start the day.

Only if I am at the golf course and it's being mixed with whiskey.

Not anymore. Used to drink Coke between 6:30am and 7:15am 5 days a week when I would eat my pound of hash browns and usually between 10 and 20 strips of bacon.
Wasn't a coffee drinker back then.

speaking of whiskey....my tastes (as one might have gathered over the years) are pretty simple and cheap.

But, had a little Pendleton Directors reserve this weekend, it's a $200 bottle of whisky. I would never buy it, but it was pretty damn smooth.

Alos had some Shankys....which is some sort of Irish vanilla whiskey. I wouldn't say it'd a great whiskey but it's easy drinking and could be quite dangerous if you're just casually sipping it....
