my dad doesn’t talk on the phone much…never been much for words. so, even on this day i get forwarded to voicemail. he’s more than happy to text, though, which is hilarious. he’ll be 75 this year, and seems to always discover new emojis and .gifs to text

his current favorite:

How many of you are watching sports on TV today? Nothing says Father’s Day like the CBS lineup. A WNBA game followed by an LPGA final!

I hadn't thought of that angle-televising women's sports on Father's Day, but did wonder what golf fan they imagined would watch an LPGA event when it's on opposite the US Open.

They have the same problem we do, finding sports events worth televising/watching this time of year.

When I saw that Rory McIlroy, a golfer I admire, was 2nd to Bryson DeChambeau, a golfer I don't care for, I turned the Open on.

For me, a close major on a Sunday when I place a small wager makes it suck less - until I lose my wager. ;)

Nice thing is I make money no matter if DeChambeau or McElroy win. I make a little more if it's DeChambeau.

Unreal that the guy who is going to win the US Open is the guy who chokes/choked less.
NOT funny is when McElroy missed a 4 footer on 18 and a lot of the crowd started chanting USA!

My guess is the majority of them didn't bother to consider he claims Jupiter Florida his primary home town.
What bearing if any did Tiger Woods have on the 180 change in golf etiquette?
Alcohol plays a role too but I assume alcohol has been served/sold for a long time.

I watched Netherlands come back against Poland this morning while playing a board game by myself with the buds out of the house.

Then got to mow the lawn in peace.

Decent day.

Glad you had a decent day!

I did NOT watch the UFL Championship. My guess is neither did 98.5% of all other Americans.
