It's a charity game with proceeds going to good causes.
I'm all for it.

What's the point of exhibitions anymore? Why not just play games?

Right - so just play the game. I assume the reason it's not a game is that we're (or they're) full up. Dumb.

Are we talking about the Arkansas or Illinois type exhibitions? Or the 2 early season games that don't count?
I like the Arkansas or Illinois type exhibitions where they raise a bunch of money.
I don't care about the Washburn type exhibitions.

I like the Washburn exhibitions because it gives a smaller school in our state a chance to be highlighted and make some money.

we get to play a game on the road. in a hostile environment. and it won't ding our win/loss record if we do lose.
get that first road game under our belt. it's brilliant.

"Anybody in our profession looks at the University of Kentucky in basketball and said, that is the bluest of blue. The last few weeks, we've come to realize that this program probably needs to hear another voice. And the fans need to hear another voice. We've loved it here, but we think it's time for us to step away. And step away completely from the program."
Cal using the imperial we?

Was he supposed to lie and say everyone is going to play even though they are not? I'm confused. It's an exhibition. But I could only read a few paragraphs before it cuts off to subscribers only, so maybe I missed something.
