For saying men who won't vote a certain way should be "lined up and shot". He said this during a lecture to his class. Anyone know his name or what he teaches? Never been so embarrassed for our university

"There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don't think that females are smart enough to be president. We could line up all those guys and shoot em, they clearly don't understand how the world works."
The shoot em comment is extreme but the second half of that sentence is 100% correct.

college professors are two things:
1. smart
2. crackpots

Identity politics at work. There's plenty of women in the world that would make a good president. Kamala isn't one of them. And her being a woman certainly isn't a qualification to vote for her, or against her.
The guy said something really stupid. And will lose his job for it. I don't think politics belongs in the classroom. And certainly not comments about shooting people you don't agree with politically

Notice how many dumbfucks have twisted what he said and are claiming he said.....
"A University of Kansas professor just blatantly said men “who won’t vote for Kamala” should be lined up and SH0T"!
Then you get a bonus of.....
"Professor calls for Trump voters to be lined up and SHOT???"

Spin it how you want, it has no place in a classroom. Or anywhere in this country. Nobody deserves to be shot over voting democrat or republican. Not sure why democrats want to try to normalize this or make excuses for it.
And the professor immediately realized he fucked up. That's why he said something like "strike that from the record I don't want the Dean to find out"

This thread is a good example of how badly you weaken what you have to say, by exaggerating/twisting/distorting facts.
You are correct that the guy should not have said what he said.
But the fact that you have to exaggerate, twist and distort what he said, in order to make the points you want to make, weakens those points.
The guy did NOT say that anyone who refuses to vote for a woman "should" be shot (but that's how you put it).
The guy did NOT say that anyone should vote for Harris because she is a woman (but that's what you implied).
The guy did NOT say anything about "shooting people you don't agree with politically" (but that's what you said).
Semantics, you'll screech. All I'm saying is that when you have to exaggerate, twist and distort the facts in order to make your point, you are telling the world that you're not confident in the point on its merits.

Respectful response....
Your First sentence. Ok.
Your Second sentence. Yes.
Your Third sentence. I agree but many other people don't agree. What makes you and I right and them wrong?
Your Fourth sentence. To you and me it isn't a qualification but you do realize to others it is. Right? Some people won't vote for a woman. No matter who the woman may be.
Your Fifth sentence. I think so but I also don't know the entire context.
Your Sixth sentence. MAY lose his job for it.
Your Seventh sentence. Absolutely belongs in the classroom - if the class is a political class. Seems this one was not.
Your Eighth sentence. What does that have to do with the video and what he said? Seems a lot more gender oriented than it does about people you don't agree with politically.

the extreme rhetoric that the democrats have normalized in the last 8 years is quite shocking.

That is not what happened. This is classic straw man stuff.

Agreed. I always tell my students that, if you come away from this class knowing who I vote for or what my political view are, I have failed as a professor.
Why? Because a) none of these things are included in the content of this course, b) you're paying money to be taught the content of this course, and c) no matter what my view might be, it is a good bet that 50% of you will disagree with me and be so distracted by that disagreement that you won't learn what you came here to learn.

His assumption that people think she's too stupid to be POTUS because she is a woman is 100% incorrect and manipulative.
I think Giggles is a moron, however, Tulsi Gabbard is a woman - and a woman of color, no less - and I'd vote for her over both Giggles and Trump.
People just want simple answers that allow them to divide people into neat categories based on knee-jerk responses. It's lame and silly.

I assume you have a video of this statement so that we can see the full statement and context of it, correct? Otherwise it's just another "trust me, it happened" thing. Feel free to share where you saw this statement.

It's quite possible ( likely even ) that he didn't watch the video before directly coming here for a 'gotchya' moment. He just read the headline on whatever garbage feed he has zombie-brain-locked into and got all excited to share.

I suspect he just got all horny on this (or a shared version of it):

it is hard to imagine. that there could be or even would be. extreme far left leaning rhetoric/viewpoints/activities practiced and peddled on an American college campus.
seems unlikely.

Watched it. Would have posted it in my original post but some of you would cry "spam" since it's not refuttable
By the way.. the video of a person cutting up a dog in front of a complex in Springfield ohio... that you locked. Has it been debunked? All I did was ask if it was in fact the proof people were waiting to surface

I know what you were trying to do. Everyone here does. We aren't stupid.
Don't pretend like we are.
