Oakland plays their home games at the O'rena.
Oakland is not located in Oakland. Oakland is located in Auburn Hills Michigan.
Oakland University is only 9 years older than me.
Oakland University accepts over 90% of its applicants.
Oakland University has about 13,000 undergrads.
Oakland's sports teams were known as the Pioneers until 1998 when they became the Golden Showers. I mean Golden Grizzles.
Famous Oakland alum include.... David Hasselhoff (who did not graduate from OU) and Kendrick Nunn (who if I am not mistaken attended OU for just one year/season).
Oakland Basketball is coached by Greg Kampe. Kampe has been at Oakland for longer than some of you have been alive. To me, he looks a little bit like what you would get if Bob Huggins, J.B. Pritzker, and Tom Penders, got together and had a son.
I believe he is the longest tenured coach in the NCAA D1 Basketball.
He won his 700th game against Defiance. Here is a mind blower. He was born in Defiance Ohio.
