2025/2026 Lineup

Too soon?
Yep. Don't care.
Starters
Jackson
Peterson
Griffen
Tiller
Bidunga
Bench
Passmore
McDowell
Calderon
Clemence
So, need some transfers. A point guard, a big wing, and a shooter.
I assume based on his history that Storr is gone, and based on his history that Clemence stays.
That's a really athletic, unskilled lineup.

And not much shooting as presently constructed. Again.
We've got to have at least 1 Gradey/Furphy type who is a decent sized wing who can shoot at a high clip.

Aint no point doing this til next October.
Once all the potential draft guys have made their decisions, once all the returning players have recommitmented, once all the portal guys have commited, once all the incoming freshman have analyzed how over recruited theyve become, once all the decommitments have decommitted, once all the NIL money has been finalized and the bidding is over

Well, that's one less thing we will have to worry about since we have 0 guys who have (real) decisions to make as far as early entrants into the NBA draft.

Yeah but we will be recruiting portal guys who are eyeing the nba draft and weighing their options of staying in or returning to college
That's how we got mccullar for example

For sure.
I do prefer, if that's a significant portion of our roster building long term, that we target guys with multiple years of eligibility left. But I also wonder if this strategy doesn't sort of contribute to our feeling that we've built sort of lower ceiling teams a few years in a row due to our lack of high end/NBA talent.
Obviously, Peterson helps this. As he's the talent guy next year. And Tiller to a lesser extent. Plus the upside growth potential we've got in Bidunga.
I think we're getting a good foundation for next year already. But we've still got a handful of pieces to plug in. Hopefully, high end talent type pieces.
I like HD as much as anyone, and he's an awesome college player. But I would feel better if in future years if our best player is someone capable of playing at the next level.

There's a sweet spot for players who aren't sure-fire NBA guys, but can be dominant in college. The Duke Scheyer/Smith/Singler team is a good example.
I think Bidunga is one of those guys. Too small to be an NBA big, not skilled enough yet to be an NBA 3 or 4. I mean, he may turn out to be Pascal Siakham. But he's a ways away from that. I think he'll be an all-american as a junior.

Bidunga might become what Diallo could have been if he would have stayed in school 2-3 more years instead of having to turn pro for financial purposes.

I don't know the rules regarding the restricted area in prep schools but I don't see the markings on the court.
If there isn't a restricted area then that was an and one and not a charge ( which I think was called ).

The guy on the ground is clapping after the whistle.
Peterson is walking down the court smiling.
Pretty sure they called that a charge.

Yea, i'd say 99% not a charge if no restricted area.
100% not a charge if there's a restricted area because he'd definitely be in it.
