eviction moratorium

Post by Deleted User 89 »

any ideas why all the talk is about tenants and landlords?

seems to me the “fix” to staving off evictions is working with the banks and lending institutions, yet i haven’t heard anyone mention this

I think it’s all-of-the-above situation. Banks and other lenders are involved for mortgages and when landlords have mortgages. However, there are several situations when the landlord (often elderly) has no mortgage obligation but relies on the renter making timely payments as their primary source of income. If the tenant is evicted it would be lose-lose
