Family owned sushi joint with impeccably fresh fish, what's not to like?

Even in my cooking days back in the 70s and 80s, we got really fresh seafood flown in daily. It was as fresh as anything on the coast.

Dont get me wrong, I like most sushi.
I just dont think the better of sushi chefs are hanging out in a college town in the Midwest on the outskirts of the city.

So while I would enjoy going there, I'm sure, I dont think I'd be excited, relative to how I get excited for new restaurants, to go to that joint.

If its mind blowing, I'd hope they get a review from someone. Even if its not, and you give it a 99 top 10 sushi I've ever had, I'll be sure to drive past Johnny's this winter to visit.

I've never had sushi thatd I'd say I'd get excited for in Lawrence.

I'm not saying this guy is Morimoto. It was pretty good. As I've said, sushi isn't really my thing and I don't know a lot about it. I'm not really down with weird rolls, we had a couple and they were ok, but I don't think that weird rolls are serous sushi. The sashimi was really good. I am saying that I do know quality seafood and this was it. And I like this place cuz it's kinda cool.

My Mom (91 years old) has had a very sore shoulder for 3 weeks. It got bad enough today that I took her to the ER. Xray, blood, urine, and CT tests and 5.5 hours later they said that there's nothing wrong. Take her home and give her some ibuprofen.

She put off going to the doctor for 3 weeks while in pain because she was afraid that he'd put in in the hospital. After this experience, there's no way she's going to the ER again no matter what. This could be bad going forward.

So it’s been difficult to go to the grocery store here any more without encountering wait lines for the checkout.

They have a dozen of those self-checkout stations, and wait lines there too, largely cuz they never have more than half the stations open.

I randomly asked the self-checkout clerk why they never have all the self-checkouts open. She replied, “cuz we don’t have the staffing”
