I have no narrative. I’m just an adult that knows when an economy is good, and when it ain’t.

Of course a recession is coming at some point. We been chugging along for a good portion now. Economies go up. Economies go down. It’s the way. Until then i’m gonna dig on it.

Way to make up a narrative and then chastise people for it. I have not seen anyone WISH for a recession. What I have seen is people noting that there are troubling signs out there that should be paid attention to.

I suppose if you live with your family, no wife and kids to support, no obligations, what do you care what the economy is doing.

Does the federal gummint’s policies count as part of what the economy is doing?

No idea. Been married for 20 years with 2 kids and numerous investment vehicles that I am trying to maximize.

Between the tax changes Trump installed that are fucking me out of money I used to get and the rises in virtually every expense such as groceries and every day items, I have less total money in my pocket during this "great" economy than I did when it wasn't this "great".

Wishing on a recession and pointing out the bankrupt, blatant hypocrisy of "conservative" economic "principles" for the last 40 years, are different things. But you're safe, because no one who reads your posts would expect you to appreciate the difference.

Wait! Didn't Trump just yesterday, not to mention Larry Kudlow and Peter Navarro on the Sunday talk shows, tell us that the economy is fine, and there's no recession coming?

Does anyone know if the reduced revenue from the lowered payroll tax would add to the budget deficit/national debt, or, will these tax cuts, like Reagan's, Bush II's, and Trump's previous tax cut, "pay for themselves"?

Everyone else sees him propping this up until next year's election, right? Sometimes I feel like I am having a stroke just watching people shrug their shoulders as this criminal steals right out of their front pocket.

Complaining on 1 thread that you've got less money in your pocket under trump (which I sort of think is a lie because the 2 main deductions he took away from you don't amount to THAT much, and LOL @ grocery prices because mine haven't gone up enough to notice)....and then in another thread complaining about a payroll tax cut that would put more money in your pocket.

When Obama cut payroll taxes everyone, including himself, knew that it was one way to prop up a sagging economy. Payroll tax cuts are not something which is done during a strong economy. It is an admission that the economy is getting weaker.

Which is it - the economy is strong (no tax cut needed - actually will cause inflation!) or is it weak (stimulus needed to prop up a weak economy)?

It has nothing to do with putting money in people's pocket. If it was they would never have eliminated the local and State tax deduction. You're just so gullible buying the Trump lies hook-line-and-sinker
